3. Research
• The internet was critical for my research, without it research would have been
really difficult, I used internet explorer and safari, the main reason why I switched
between the two is when one of them stops working I would use the other.
• To find trailers of the same genre which I as focusing on I went on YouTube and
Google
• As I enjoying watching horror films I had a little idea on what to search for on
YouTube so I simply clicked on the website and clicked on what I want
• As I wanted a wide range of horror trailer I went on Google to search for what
meet my specific needs.
• When I was not near a computer I used my mobile phone to access the internet,
this allowed me to do research even when I was on the go.
4. Planning and research
• I used Microsoft word to construct my questionnaire for the
my audience research.
• After I had given out my questionnaire and collect the data I
used Microsoft excel to convert the date into graphs, bars
charts and pie charts. I have had previous experience with
Microsoft excel so constructing the charts was fairly easy to
create.
• I also used Microsoft word to complete the risk assessment
sheet and my edit decision list
5. Mobile phones, IMac and laptops
• Mobile phones helped me to organized with my actors a
suitable time for us to film.
• I also used my mobile phone during the filming stage, the
reason for this was to take pictures of us filming which I then
sent to Imac at school via email.
• When I was at home and I wanted to do research and make
notes of that research I used my laptop. I would use YouTube
and Google to do research on my chosen genre.
6. Construction
• Panasonic camera (NV-GS500)- this the camera that I
used to film the footage that I was going to use for
my trailer. Along with the camera I used a tripod to
get my footage as steady as possible.
• When I was finished filming I used a USB to upload
the footage from the camera to my school IMac
because that where final cut pro is installed which I
needed to edit.
7. Editing- Final cut pro
• After the footage had been filmed I then
upload the footage onto final cut pro where I
can edit my footage into the sequence that I
want.
8. Final cut pro
This is the
timeline, where
you can view
footage you
have editing on
the top right
screen.
This allows you have
choose the clip you
want to edit, to add
effects and text.
These screens are
where you can view
the changes that you
have made on the
timeline.

10. Garageband
This where you can
choose
instruments that
the sounds will be
based on.
This is where you
drag the sounds
that want and
place them, its in a
timeline format
This is where you can
edit the sounds that you
have on your timeline
This is where
you can choose
specific sounds
that you want.
11. Evaluation
• For the overall evaluation we were given four questions
including this one which we had to answer using
multimedia for each one. The questions were:
• In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
• How effective is the combination of your main product
and ancillary texts?
• What have you learned from your audience feedback?
• How did you use media technologies in the construction
and research, planning and evaluation stages?

products
• For this question I used a prezi
