2. THE WORLD IS OPENING UP
EXAMPLES:
Houses – Airbnb, crashpadders, art galleries now happening in
private spaces.
Cars – Carpooling
Offices – Coworking
What is the next thing? I am interested in the Kitchen. And this is
why my project is called Open Kitchen.
3. What is Open Kitchen?
Dinner events taking place in different houses in
Brussels. People
Sharing their kitchen and creating artsy experiences
for the benefit of the community.
Attendees pay a fee/ variable depending to costs of
the night.
4. EVERY OPEN KITCHEN 3 PILLARS
PLACE
COOK (TAKING ADVANTAGE OF
MULTICULTURAL DIVERSITY)
PERFORMANCE
5. WHY DO I COME TO #CPEUROPE WITH THIS?
I want internet to be a central part of it. I want social
media to boost the project to the next level.
I understand social media as a social production
thing. I am not interested in social media as a tool
to waste time and hang out with your friends.
So , if is a social production thing… what do I want to
produce with Open Kitchen?
2 things….
6. 1. CULTURE *TALENT IS INSIDE
Everybody is a potential producer of a cultural
good.
What are you passionate about? Bring your
skills. Do you know how to sing opera, or tell a
story, or show us you cool pictures from the
last trip, or your documentary about the
Standing Babas in Bombay ?
OPEN KITCHEN AS A PLATFORM
7. 2 MEDIA
We Generate our own media. Community generates
multimedia products. Text, images, video.
We are a media production house.
And we want to use social media as a tool for this.
8. WHAT IS WORKING WELL
People love it
Hosts are loving it too. Lithuanian couple.
9. WHAT CAN BE IMPROVED
All the internet related things.
I need to provide the people with the right platform to speak. People do not tweet
during dinners. They are having a good time. But I want them to speak and upload
their pictures later (flickr group).
VID3EO . It has been done by calling friends.
10. THE FUTURE
So far I have been involved in organization.
Can open kitchen be a platform only? And all
this take place auto-organized like for axample
air b n b. ?
Social architecture in parties is a tricky thing.
