Candidates should be encouraged to see the evaluation of their advanced media portfolio as a creative task, exploiting the potential of the chosen format through images, audio, video, and links. Marks should be supported by teacher comments and other forms such as audio or video presentations. Questions addressed in the evaluation include how the media product uses or challenges real media conventions; the effectiveness of combining the main product with ancillary texts; what was learned from audience feedback; and how media technologies were used in construction, research, planning and evaluation.
