Running scene through tunnel.
Three people chasing
character in scene.
In this activity any one of the
students running could be
harmed by tripping, falling or
slipping, and there's also a
possibility of bumping into
something/someone, that
someone being another
student or a member of the
public.
I w ould say that the riskof
injury, for example a small cut
or bruise on a student, is
unlikely, and any member of
the public being hurt is
remote.
To minimise any possible riskof harm, w e could
move any obstacles that could potentially trip
someone, and make sure w e filmout of the w ay of
any general public members.
Filming usingknife as a prop. If someone tripped w hilst
holding it they could injure
themselves or others, or if
filming around people unaware
that its just a prop, you could
scare them and make them
panic, so w e could end up in
trouble or people could get
scared.
I w ould say that the riskof
injury, for example a student
hurting themselves on a knife
w ould be possible, but low . It’s
a higher riskthan the running
scene because of how sharp
the knife is. It is also trivial but
possible that a member of the
public could hurt themselves
through panicking, but the risk
of that is extremely low .
By w earing high visibility jackets w hen filming
and trying to film as far aw ay as possible from
the generalpublic w ould prevent anyone from
getting scared, or anyone part of our group in
trouble. Making sure that everyone is aw are of
w ho is holding the knife, and making sure how
to hold it correctly and safely, can prevent
anyone fromgetting injured.
Spilling coffee (prop) The people filming and the
person playing Lucy could be
hurt because if the coffee is
spilt it could burn them.
The risk of someone being
hurt is unlikely but still
possible, as the coffee could b
easily knocked over.
Making sure everyone is aw are of where the
coffee is placed, and that nobody is acting
dangerously around it w illensure that it isn't
spilt.
Hazard list – select your hazards from the list belowand use these to complete Part B
