Many urban issues are information problems. But information is trapped in
silos
3. Innovation Dilemma:
Smart Cities are a fast moving field. But how to ensure continuous
innovation
4. Integration Dilemma:

So should not be surprising that what we are seeing right now is an all-out battle for controlling the basic elements which will determine the architecture of Smart environments
I did not invent this term; it was used by the main Smart City strategist of a major multinational ICT firm, at a strategic offsite meeting where I was invited some time ago.
Choices we make are crucial for the 20 years to come
Conclusion, from my experience, and to ensure the battle for the streets has a positive outcome, 4 ingredients absolutely crucial
Explanation of colours used: primary colours (blue, red and yellow) combined gives secundaire colours (green, purple and black): blue and yellow gives green; red and blue gives purple, blue, red and yellow gives gives black (here very dark blue)
At the end of the day,
it is not only about technology,
it’s about people;
about making Open Minds create Smart Cities
