2. Jerry Jones life
• Jerry Wayne Jones was born on Oct.13, 1942
• He moved from Los Angeles to Little Rock,
Arkansas
• Jerry got a scholarship to play football for the
Razorbacks
• Jones made a fortune drilling for oil.

3. Jones trying to get a team
• When he was 23 he tried to buy the San Diego
Chargers.
• In February of 1989 Jones sold everything he
had and bought the Dallas Cowboys for $140
million.
• It was a record price and it was considered
foolish because the team was a mess.

4. The Dallas Cowboys
• The Dallas Cowboys had five Super Bowl
Championships in 1971, 1977, 1992, 1993,
and 1995.
• They also had twenty-one Division
Championships.
• The team only had one NFL MVP and it was
Emmitt Smith RB in 1993.
• Emmitt and 18 other former Dallas Cowboys
have been inducted into the NFL Hall Of Fame

• It was estimated that the build would only

20 yard line

• Just the city of Arlington provided $325
million in bonds and funding’s.
