Save Money and Time with Resume Suite Online sourcing made simple AND effective through the use of Semantics. *Note that this software is a product of the partnership between two companies – Pure Discovery and eGrabber. This product launched in 2010, so if you have used another eGrabber product, you have not seen this. Semantics are what make this software superior to others produced by either eGrabber or another company.
3. Why is PARADIGM Career Solutions partnering with PureDiscovery and eGrabber ? While consulting with many HR professionals, hiring managers, and Recruiters, I’m constantly on the lookout for new tools to make their jobs easier. I recently learned of two companies - Pure Discovery and eGrabber. Both companies have amazing tools that are revolutionizing the industry of recruiting. Every need from sourcing, data organization and management, and employee review/retention is easily met. I believe in these tools so much that I want to introduce a few of them to my network – in this presentation, you will be able to review the PD eGrabber Resume Suite. I’ve been using several of these tools since January 2010 and have found them extremely useful and time saving. 4. How Resume Suite is Revolutionizing the Business of “Sourcing” ResumeSuite’s Semantic technology allows anyone to perform technical searches without being an expert in that field. You don’t need to know what a Semiconductor Engineer is to source candidates for that position. Semantics limit the non-exact matches. A Financial Analyst will be a Financial Analyst and not a Bank Teller who has added key words to his/her resume. ResumeSuitecan differentiate the two candidates because the software has been “taught” what a true Financial Analyst is rather than simply scanning the resume for key words. Searches can be specialized to a specific company or industry. The software can be tailored to the oil and gas industry or hedge fund industry, etc so that the “Accountant” or “IT Manager” or “Engineer” you are searching for is an exact match to your company’s needs. You can save your searches to minimize future search time. You can download resumes directly into your database – no more hours spent inputting job seekers’ info (address, name, certifications, skills, etc). And if a candidate updates his/her resume, the software automatically updates your database. No fear of Garbage in = Garbage out. No human error.
5. This is the screen shot that you will see when you first launch the software. Notice that the screen is divided into 5 main areas - Keywords, Query Cloud, Results, Google search, and the Resumes Found section.
6. Keywords – this is the area where you enter your search criteria. You may input a title such as Financial Analyst or a group of words such as an entire job description – YES, I said an entire job description. Next, you select the portal that you wish to search. You may search job portals such as Monster, Careerbuilder, Dice, etc or you may search Linkedin, all of Google, Yahoo, and Bing, etc. I recommend starting with “Resumes in Portals” and then selecting which portal (Monster, Careerbuilder, etc. If none are selected, it will default to Linkedin and other free job search sites). Once you become familiar with the basics of the software, you may utilize more advanced search functions.
7. Query Cloud - Once you click “Find”, Pure Discovery’s Resume Grabber Suite will automatically populate a query with terms that are the definition of your selected Keywords in the “Query Cloud” area. You may review the suggested terms, add some, remove some, and decide whether a term is Required, somewhat important, or not very important. Pure Discovery can help you customize your searches to your company/industry to ensure their maximum effectiveness. And to make things even easier, you may save them for future use.

PD eGrabber has bridged machine learning with the already indexed world to create search that: Allows PD and the users to build a customized “brain” that stores intelligence in capsules. It understands the difference in Java the coffee, Java the software, and Java the restaurant. The “brain” is not static but rather learns from every document it is given. New info in, modified results out. All searches are immediately updated. Distributes the semantically enhanced queries to multiple indexes, internal (databases) or external (Google, Monster, Linkedin, etc) to the company, simultaneously. Results are shown in easy to read formats. Each resume is judged and rated in % of how exact of a match it is. This prevents wasted time reviewing non-applicable resumes. Brain Selection. PD Classification engine is layered over the PD Brain Library to select the most optimized Brain for each given query.
9. Notice that I have now decided to include the terms “Texas” and “MBA” in the Query Cloud. The terms are in yellow because I have made them requirements in the search. Since I have changed things in the Query Cloud, I must click “Update Search”. Now, I am ready to retrieve my search results.
10. To retrieve my results, I click on the “Grab Checked Results” on the tool bar. I may choose to download only the first page or I may download all of the results. Notice that the results are automatically listed in an Excel file and separated by First Name, Last name, City, email, phone, etc.
11. If you do not wish to download the information for all candidates or you simply want to review some resumes prior to downloading, you may view each resume in this easy view screen. The keywords you selected in your Query Cloud are highlighted to allow for easy resume scanning.
12. The easy view screen is also available in full screen mode. You may select resumes and save them in any of the files provided or you may add your own new files.
13. Once I download the candidates’ information and resumes, they will automatically be separated into columns – first name, last name, city, state, email, phone, and a link to the resume. From Excel, the information can be directly imported into an Outlook file or directly into your candidate database. This is GREAT b/c you lessen the risk for “Garbage in = Garbage out”. Fewer human errors and less time spent inputting information into the database.
14. Who uses this software? Corporate HR departments Recruiting firms Individual recruiters – both within an established firm and on their own. Even if the entire recruiting firm can not invest in the software, there are individual recruiters who purchase it to gain an advantage over their colleagues.
