* for John Feyereisen who is scheduled for a brain MRI
this Thursday to determine if a 3rd surgery is needed;
* for pain relief for Matt VanderPlow who has a multiple
ligament injury due to being hit by a car. He will require
surgery and is meeting with the surgeon on May 25;
* for Larry Rees who is doing great following his surgery
but the doctor wants him to have chemo and radiation to
be sure all the cancer is gone;
* for relief and healing for Cathy Raby’s brother, Pat,
who has been fighting an infection in his stump along with
a staph infection;
* for Zach Caruth to be able to get an appointment at
Cleveland Clinic soon to see if they can correctly diagnose
the muscular problems that he has;
* for Tobin Crook to feel good or at least ok as he
continues cancer treatments;
* Praise the Lord that Diane Cartwright’s ultra-sound and
stress test last week showed no problem;

SR. HIGH YOUTH GROUP TONIGHT: Join us from 6:00-7:30 pm

nering with Pioneer Clubs for their Closing Ceremony with an ice cream social

People of all ages and skills are encouraged to come together and work
in the Harvest of Generosity garden located behind the church garage
from 10 am - noon on the following Saturdays...

The regular Student Harvest Days will be on Tuesday’s from 10 am-3 pm
at Parkside or on Thursdays from 10 am-3 pm at New Life Church! Join
us as we have a blast serving the community. Some things you might
experience daily are: games, gardening, devotion, food, water balloons,
volunteering and lots of fun! The Student Days will start the week
of June 12 and continue through the week of August 22.

Next Sunday we have an exciting morning planned! All of the ministries
will be presented and we will have the privilege to commit ourselves to
the serving of others by participating in at least one ministry over the

CHILD PROTECTION SEMINAR TODAY! If you help with or would like
to help with any Parkside’s children's ministries (youth group, children’s
church, nursery, Pioneer Clubs, Kids Games, etc.) and have not yet completed
the required Protection Seminar, please plan to attend this
one-hour class held at 4:30 pm today in Room A3.
SUNDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY Please join us tonight from 6-7 pm
as we continue our series “Ten Proofs,” based on Bob Dutko’s teachings.
The topic tonight is 10 Proofs that dinosaurs existed in Biblical times which
will include examples of dinosaurs in the Bible living with humans according
to science and actual historical evidence. Join us tonight and every Sunday
evening through May 29 for a time of fellowship and study of God’s Word.
The topic next Sunday will be on Islam.
WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY Join the group this Wednesday
night at 7:00 pm at the church as Harold Kimbel teaches on “Inspired Word
of God” and how it came to be. This class will continue through 6/1.
LADIES DINNER & GAME NIGHT Sign up at the Women’s Ministry
Counter for dinner and games at 5:30 p.m. this Friday, May 20. Dinner will
be at James Street Inn then join us back at the church for simple games
and snacks. It’s a great opportunity to meet other ladies of the church!
FINAL PIONEER CLUBS THIS WEDNESDAY This Wednesday at 6:30 pm
will be our last night of Pioneer Clubs. It is a family event with an ice cream
social & cake walk. (No pizza at 6 pm.) This is the closing ceremony where
the kids will receive the patches that they have worked hard for
all year. It is a carnival theme with a dunk tank & other games for families
to have fun together. Come celebrate with us a great year of Pioneer Clubs.

6. Positive Options provides free, confidential, compassionate care for men and women facing an
unplanned pregnancy. They strive to give the highest quality care with professional, medical ser-
vices from trained and licensed nurses and sonographers. They have four centers conveniently
located to serve you in Allendale, Allegan, Grand Haven, and Holland. They also have a mobile
medical center that travels to other areas. They are dedicated to providing our communities with a
wide range of free and confidential services to all.
Secret Sisters
is sponsoring a Service Project during the month
of May to provide much-needed baby items to
Lakeshore Pregnancy Center.
We are asking Parkside attendees to help Lakeshore Pregnancy
Center by providing items for babies born to their clients.
Donations can be put in the baskets on the table on the west
side of the Fellowship Hall. Items needed include diapers,
wipes, sleepers, onesies, baby wash, shampoo and lotion, bibs,
burp cloths, and infant toys such as rattles. There is a special
need for hooded bath towels and infant socks for girls. Very
gently-used items will be accepted. The collection ends on
May 29. If you have questions, talk to Cris Hoppa - 403-3302.
KIDS’ GAMES Kids Games Northside will be held June 20-June 24 at
Rose Park Elementary School for ages K-6th Grade from 9:00-12:30
pm. Many volunteers are needed! Do you have a skill or craft that you
could teach the kids such as Knitting, Basketball, Baseball, Tennis,
Soccer, Story- telling, Cosmetology, Puppetry, Hair Art, Gardening, Toy
Making, Scrapbooking, Painting, Wood Carving, Jewelry Making, etc.
We also need those willing to provide snacks, be Bible teachers and
helpers, be on the prayer team, etc. Please contact Phyllis Vanderbilt at
772-4119 or email her at phyllis.vanderbilt@yfai.com to find out the
current needs. This program is being offered as a community outreach
not only to Parkside kids but to all kids in the area! Make a difference
in a kid's life - possibility for eternity.

ADULT FAMILY BIBLE HOUR
Next Sunday will be the Family Bible Hour Closing Ceremony. (There will
be no classes.) The whole church is invited to this event at 9:30 am which
will include a celebration sacred dance from the Jr. High girls. There will
be no adult Family Bible Hour on May 29 and June 5. A new series will
kick off on June 12 at 11:00 am with a Family BBQ!
LIFE LINE SCREENING AT PARKSIDE Life Line Screening, a leading provider of
community-based preventive health screening, will be offering screening at Parkside on
5/31. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to:
blocked arteries which is the leading cause of stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysms which
can lead to a ruptured aorta, hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong
predictor of heart disease, atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to
stroke risk and bone density screening for men and women used to assess the risk of
osteoporosis. Register for a Wellness Package which includes 4 vascular tests and
osteoporosis screening from $149 ($139 with our member discount.) All 5 screenings
