This document analyzes the composition of Freebase data and finds that 29-41% of accepted triples (links and other facts) account for most of the information value, while the "a" predicate is very common but less informative. Descriptions take up a lot of space but keys are duplicated and inconsistent. Around 30% of facts, file size and compressed size are from links, which provide the most evidentiary value in Freebase.
