3. -- Consult a topographical map and look for places where
elevation lines cross streams or brooks. Changes in
elevation usually mean rapids and pools, and rapids and
pools mean congregations of fish.
-- In lakes and ponds, fish often feed close to gradually
sloping shorelines, near the point where the water begins
to deepen. These are particularly auspicious spots.
