Paul R. Smith, RN, founded the case-management company Extended Family Associates in 2007 with an express purpose to help people stay in their homes when facing long-term disabilities and aging. A practicing nurse for 34 years, Paul R. Smith, RN, also has management experience that allows him to offer holistic in-home, hospice, and nursing-home care through his business in San Luis Obispo, California. Mr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts from Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Marquette University in 1971 and completed an accelerated nursing program in Omaha, Nebraska, at Creighton University, in 1978.
