Citizen-led group dedicated to developing a new vision for Burlington’s waterfront – a response to the current plan proposed by City Council – a plan that threatens to demolish local heritage and replace it with tall highrise buildings – a plan focused on narrow development interests with little thought given to both the history and future of arguably the city’s greatest asset – its waterfront.
We must act NOW to reverse this plan and come up with a better one .

How We Got Here September 2006 : One Year Interim Control Bylaw passed to study Old Lakeshore Road area September 2006 : Interim Control Bylaw October 2006 : Election with 2 new councilors plus mayor October 2006 : Election December 2007 : zoning changed from 6 storey height maximum to 6-8 storeys (east) and 10-15 storeys (west) December 2007 : 30 metre shoreline setback with little development assumed. Old Lakeshore added to Urban Growth Boundaries
