Peter Brown 39, married to Kerry for seven years, live
in West Sussex. Work in Brighton for Epic
started career in TV and video production
now an e-learning expert with 11 years’ experience in
delivering bespoke e-learning projects

Business Unit Director for Epic responsible for:
leading and managing a multidiscipline team of 16+
people to deliver up to 100 hours of learning each
year, on schedule and to budget
managing a project portfolio that delivers agreed
profit margins to the business
ensuring total quality assurance and customer
satisfaction for all projects

Consistently delivered on target margins and customer satisfaction
Delivered over 500 hours of e-learning
Standardised PM process, pricing and performance metrics for the company
Developed and implemented project management tools and templates.
Scheduling, budgeting and tracking.
Winner of 2 awards for e-learning: Operation Numerika on Nintendo DS and
Virgin Atlantic Induction e-learning
10 hour REME health and safety course with 3d panoramic environments
Inducted, coached and mentored new project managers at Epic
Designed and implemented e-l translation process and pricing at Epic

a thorough forecast is carried out based on historical metrics (days to do the job) and
find ways of improving efficiency
responsibility is placed on project manager to monitor performance and productivity of
the team
good performance is recognised
timesheet data is captured and used effectively
weekly reviews with project managers are held
freelancers are contracted to a job rather than the hours they work
a web-based project management tool that allows recording and ticketing of tasks
against time is reviewed and implemented
change control and scope creep is managed
risks are highlighted during the project initiation phase and managed
project performance is reported to the Senior Management Team
