7. PHOENIX
ENGLISH LANGUAGE CENTER
“The Phoenix English Center is really
great when celebrating Halloween festi-
val. The festival this year was really ex-
citing. I saw a great show. My favorite
performance was "mummy". In addi-
tion, I participated in a lot of games and
also had my face painted. My favorite
part was the Haunted House. Although it
was not scary but I very liked it. More-
over, I also got a lot of candy in the
"Trick or treat" game. The weather was
very bad but it did not affect the party. I
hope that the Center will hold more fes-
tivals like this.”

“I was very happy to attend to this
Halloween festival. When I came
to the festival, I took part in a lot
of games and dressed up as my
favorite character. The food at the
party was very delicious. The
Haunted House was small but
very scary. I was truly attracted so
I had gone to this Haunted House
for 4-5 times. The weather this
year was not favorable, but the
Halloween was as good as I ex-
pected. Although it ended, the joy
that this festival brings to me is
not small and I am sure that it will
have still remained in my mind for
a long time.”

WONDERFUL
ZOMBIES
8. The Grim
Reaper’s November 1st
Diary
I woke up on the morning after Halloween feeling very
drained because the night before I had sent so many
souls down to hell. Soon my wife Mrs. Reaper called
me down to eat breakfast "I made you hell hog bacon
and fried zombie chicken eggs, and best of all American
grim reaper cookies. “Awesome" I thought, a poisonous
meal to start my relaxing day out.
I called the Ghost Taxi Company and gave the zombie
driver 10 R.I.P money to take me to Lavapark, a fun
park full of boiling magma. I slid down obsidian slides
and relaxed on the Lazy Bloodstream. First I went on
the Tangled Veins slide, but I slid so fast that I dislo-
cated my skeleton arm. It fell off the bottom of the slide
and I couldn't find it anywhere, so I ran to the Lost and
Found. As I was rushing there I accidentally slipped on
a bone banana and hit a deadly hollow tree outside the
Lost and Found house. I limped inside and said to the
staff "Sir, have you found any arm bones, I have lost
one of mine." He said "Yes" so he put my bones back
and I have my bones back again.
After that I was hungry so I went into the Deatherant, it
is a restaurant that only allows dead people, like myself,
in. I ate bloody leeches and worm pie, it was horrible
and felt slimy down my bones, but I liked the slithering
worms in the worm pie. I saw the sun going down so I
decided not to go on the Lazy Bloodstream, but instead
I went to the Torture Spa to relax. There was a full book
of massages to choose from, but I chose Rock Mace
Body Breaker massage, they break all your bones with
a rock mace. I broke 206 bones in my body, I felt sore
from my skull to my toes. I gave the receptionist 20
R.I.P money. Then I went home and my son Junior
Bonesoul Reaper hugged me and we ate rotten fish on
our bed made of bones.

The Day After Halloween
My favorite Halloween character is Frankenstein, be-
cause he is weird but scary, so on the night of Halloween
I think he spent his whole time scaring animals and peo-
ple for fun. I imagine the day after Halloween would be
relaxing for him, he would be resting at home in bed be-
fore getting a massage at a spa. I think his throat would
be sore from screaming and scaring people, so he would
need to drink hot tea. He would probably spend time at
home relaxing on his couch, eating all the delicious
candy that the terrified kids dropped after he scared
them. I believe that Frankenstein would be extremely
tired for the next few days after Halloween and take
longs nap during the day, but at around midnight each
night, he would go out to party with his friends. He would
go out to celebrate with the other monsters on the day
after Halloween, and they would excitedly talk about the
reaction on people’s faces after he had terrified them.
The following day after that, he and the other Halloween
monsters would be even more sore and tired because
they partied the night before.

Dracula’s November 1st
Diary
On November 1st I am always so full from all of the blood I
sucked on Halloween. However, I still need to go to work
like everyone else, so I rode there on my giant killer dog.
On the way to work I needed to feed my huge dog, it likes
fresh meat best, so I went to the butcher, Mr. Werewolf. I
asked him if head had any fresh meat, he showed me five
juicy arms and necks. I bought them and fed the dog so
that I could get to work.
When I got to work, I greeted my boss, The Grim Reaper,
and asked him “Do you want to go to the Dead Pool after
work?” He said he did and we agreed to meet their after
work. At work, I spent all day helping my co-workers to
build the 49th
floor of the human bones building. After I had
finished my long day at work, I went to the Dead Pool and
met The Grim Reaper waiting for me there. There were
some dead fish floating at the top of the pool so I decided to
suck the blood from them as a snack. As I did I talked to
The Grim Reaper about what we were going to do for the
50th
floor of the human bones building. After relaxing in the
Dead Pool we strolled to the fair to play toss with Mr.
Pumpkin’s head for a while.
Finally we got bored of the game so we said goodbye and I
went home for dinner. My wife had cooked my favorite
meal, a bloody shark. Then I climbed tiredly into my
wooden coffin, closed the heavy lid with a bang, and went
to sleep dreaming of all the fresh blood I could drink next

If I could visit anywhere…
If I could visit anywhere in the world, I
would like to visit Japan. Japan has a lot of
beautiful places and the air is very clean.
Usually the Japanese people have a very
long life because they eat balanced meals
and do exercise every day. Japanese people
are also friendly too! In this country there
are many interesting things to buy and
places to go, such as Osaka, Tokyo and Dis-
neyland, as well as other places.
The Sukiyabashi Jiro sushi restaurant in To-
kyo is the most famous sushi restaurant in
Japan, President Obama and Japanese Prime
Minister Shinzo Abe had dinner at this res-
taurant last year. It is very expensive to eat
there! Japan also has many islands. Some of
them have only animals living there, such as
cats, rabbits and foxes, there are no cars or
even bikes on them. My teacher told me that
everything in Japan is very expensive so I
have to work hard and save my money if I
want to travel to Japan in the future.

Halloween is an interesting festival to
me, it was the first Halloween party I’ve
had in my life. On the party, Tyler and
Shawnee performed martial arts, I wish I
would be like Tyler and Shawnee one
day. I played my best in the games. At
around 5:30 pm, I asked Tyler to go to
the ghost house and experienced as in
horror movies. After that, I and Tyler
went out to eat, there were many dishes
such as grilled chicken wings, sausages,
crab soup and a lot of other things, I ate a
lot and was very full. At 18:30, students
began to dance freely until 19:00 when
the party ended, it was my first Hallow-
een party.

I think the Halloween festival was very in-
teresting. During the festival, I played
many games such as Cookies on the string
and Apple bobbing game. I also visited the
ghost house. In addition, I performed many
musical performances. I really like the Hal-
loween festival and hope that I can enjoy
the festival again.

THOUGHTS
Last weekend I went to the Halloween
party with my brother, it was very fun. I
wore the costume of Dracula, my
brother wore a batman costume, and it
was beautiful. In Halloween my favour-
ite monster is Frankenstein, he is a huge,
ugly monster who comes to life by elec-
tricity. Frankenstein lived in an old lab
with the scientist who created him. He is
very scary, gigantic, and hideous. His
eyes are falling out of his head, there are
bolts coming out of his fat neck, and his
hair is short, black and frizzy. He has
disgusting skin because the scientist that
created him took old skin from dead
people, so his skin is green. He is scary
because he has strong arms that can pull
our body parts off, when this happens
everybody screams because it is so pain-
ful. In the story, he scared people and
killed them to get his own new body
parts. He usually eats human meat or
other animals. If I ever see him I will
run away quickly to call for some help
from other people. I hope I only see the
Frankestein costume at Halloween!

pated in was great fun, ex-
citing and a good way of re-
laxing after the midterm ex-
ams. This was an occasion to
help us express ourselves
and when we disguise as our
favorite characters. After
the festival we know that we
