5. Understanding Bloomsbury’s audience and technical requirements were the two key factors
to success. First, we conducted customer research to determine relevant functionality and
utility: browsing habits, purchase behaviour, the role of social media and response to online
marketing. Then, we determined approaches for: platform migration strategy, CRM and
billing system integration, product database integration and online account management.
