3. In 1990 Prof. Dr. Otto Kronsteiner from Austria wrote: "Old
Bulgarian language became a cultural language of all
Orthodox Slavs. It is the first public literary language in
medieval Europe long before the occurrence of European
literary languages ​​like
German, French, Italian, English, Russian.“
 In time Romanians accept the Cyrillic alphabet and use it
until the mid-nineteenth century, when adopting Latin.
That's why there are so many Bulgarian words in Romanian
language.

4. About 14% of Romanian words
are of Slavic origin. This is due
to the migration of Slavic tribes
who traversed the territory of
present-day Romania during the
early evolution of the language.
Such a large percentage of the
same words in two not quite
closely related language is really
extraordinary.
Two types of Slavic borrowings
can be distinguished in
Romanian. First came everyday
words describing animals and
emotional states, as well as
grammatical features appearing
in spoken and written
Romanian.
