San Diego, CA – The Executive Producers of the VoiceOver International Creative Experience
(VOICE), James R. Alburger & Penny Abshire, announced today that the VOICE Convention
(now in its fourth year) will be held at the Disneyland® Hotel and Resort in Anaheim, California
June 13th-16th, 2012. A star-studded Red Carpet Reception will be held on the evening of June
12th.
Voiceover talent from around the world will make their way to The Happiest Place on Earth to
take part in the only international convention for voice actors.
The VOICE convention is a highly interactive live event intended to provide educational and
networking opportunities for those attending. VOICE has something for voice talent, actors,
2. professional speakers, and other performers, regardless of experience. Nothing on this web site
or presented during the VOICE convention is intended to imply or guarantee representation or
work in the entertainment or voiceover industries. Success as a voiceover talent is the result of
individual mastery of performing and business skills.
VOICE began as an idea to bring the fragmented world of voiceover talent together and has
developed into the world’s largest and only international voiceover convention – The VoiceOver
International Creative Experience. VOICE focuses on a three-tiered theme for its attendees:
Education in both the performing craft and the business of voiceover; Technology knowledge for
voice recording and home studios; and building a Community of like-minded professionals.
Some of the biggest names in the world of voiceover will be on hand to participate in the various
programs and presentations. The VOICE conventions are designed to raise the standards of
voiceover through a combination of education, technology and community.
This year, the organizer chose Pocholo Gonzales, also known as the VoiceMaster of
CreatiVoices Productions. He will be with other international voice over artists such as Simone
Fojgiel (Uraguian – Spanish VO), Lofty Fulton (Australia), Priscilla Groves (UK – Ireland) and
Mehmet Onur (Turkey).
Gonzales also founded the very first and only voice acting school in the Philippines called
Philippine Center for Voice Acting. They produced VOICEWORX! Basic Voice Acting and
Dubbing Workshop which produced more than 500 voice artists and most of them are already
with Dubbing and Broadcasting industry.
He won a Go Negosyo’s Most Inspiring Young Entrepreneur by providing inspiration and
opportunities to other voice talents thereby help cultivate the voice acting industry in the
Philippines.
He has done hundreds of voice over work for animation, computer games, podcasts,
audiobooks, radio and tv ads, dubbing works, movies, etc.
Aside from being one of the panelist for VOICE 2012. He will be a speaker for the celebration of
Independence Day on June 12 for the Filipino Community in San Francisco, California.
Gonzales is also an acclaimed Motivational and Inspirational Speaker for Filipino Youth in the
country.
