3. Now VISA and MasterCard has added another security
features to protect your card against unauthorized use when
shopping online.
The secure code is extra level security where you need to
verify your personal message and password. So incase if
your card is lost or stolen, unauthorized people will not be
able to use your card online because its protected by the
password which is known to you only.
For this security feature you need to first register with your
card issuer bank. Once register you can enjoy online
shopping without any worry.

4. Registration Process
 Check the secure code process in your card issuer bank
website (ensure you are using the correct
and genuine bank website)
 Start the registration process.
 You will be asked to provide your Credit card details,
CVV and answer to other security question.
 In some of the cases you will have to go through with
one time password process. Bank will send you one time
password on your registered mobile and then you will
provide that password during registration process.
 Then you can choose your personal message and create
password (Ensure you create strong password with the
combination of letter, number and special symbols)
 Submission of these details will complete the registration
process.

5. How to use it?
 While doing online shopping most important things is,
you use genuine and reputed shopping site. Always try
to type the website address rather then clicking on any
link which you received in your email or from any other
website.
 While doing the checkout or adding your items in cart.
check if the site is protected with extra security feature
"https". Here is one example which shows that website
is protected and identity is verified.

6.  In case you will be redirected to any payment gateway
(like ccavenue, payu) make sure you check their "https"
status as illustrated in the picture above.
 After providing you credit card number, name, CVV.
you’ll see the personal message that you provided when
you signed up for Verified by Visa and that only you and
your bank know about. This lets you know that the
security screen you’re seeing is genuine
 Then you’ll be asked to enter your Verified by Visa
password.
