A minister visits an old man on his deathbed. The man explains that for years he struggled to pray until a friend suggested picturing Jesus in an empty chair next to him. Since then, the man has found peace in daily conversations with Jesus in this way. When the daughter returns later to find her father has passed, the chair is resting against his bed, as if he was in conversation with Jesus until the end. The minister is moved by the power of the man's simple practice of prayer.
