3. Android is a mobile operating system(OS) based on
the Linux kernel and currently developed by Google,
With a user interface based on direct manipulation.
Android is designed primarily for touch screen
mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet
computers.
What is Android ?
Origin of Android ?
It was founded by Andy Rubin(employee of
Google) in 2003, in a place called Palo Alto in
California.
Later, it was purchased by Google in August
2005.

Android mobile operating system began with the release of the Android beta in
November 2007. The first commercial version, Android 1.0, was released in September
2008. Since then it has worked on Alphabetically literally!

7. Android "Lollipop", or simply "Android L", is the
latest version of the Android mobile operating system
developed by Google , spanning versions between 5.0
and 5.1.
One of the most prominent changes in the Lollipop
release is a redesigned user interface built around a
design language referred to as "material design".
Other changes include improvements to the
notifications.
Google also made internal changes to the platform,
with the Android Runtime (ART) officially replacing
Dalvik for improved application performance.
