1. Personal Goals Assignment
Educational, Career, and Personal Goals Assignment Goal setting has always been an important
factor in my life, because of that I have accomplished things that I am very proud of. Without
goals it would make it very hard to succeed in life because there is nothing to work hard for. Goal
setting is a constant reminder of the things that are important to you. It gives me the motivation to
work hard every day so that I can achieve my goals. Goals are what keeps each of us different.
Throughout my life, I hope to continue to set goals.Without higher education, the quality of
someone's life can go down. That's one reason why my education is so important to me. After

The benefits of becoming a Neonatal nurse would be going home every day knowing that I did
my best to help save a life. To be a Neonatal nurse, I need to have the ability to be strong, efficient,
resilient and I need to have the proper knowledge to take care of a tiny human body. As of right
now, I don't have the proper knowledge that's needed to take care of a tiny human body, but
hopefully I can attain these skills by furthering my knowledge in school. I also need to work on
being more resilient. I realize that Neonatal nursing is something that can be hard on a person.
More times than not, things don't go the way they are planned and I need to be able to handle that
e stress appropriately. I'm not sure how long it will take before I can become a Neonatal nurse but
there is a sense of urgency to accomplish this goal.
Above all, my personal goals are to learn as much as I can and make my family and myself proud of
what I've accomplished. I've realized that college is a great opportunity to further my education and I
want to take advantage of that by taking in as much knowledge as possible. The reason for this
goal is to know that I did the very best I could when I graduate college. Not only will that make me
proud but it will make my family proud too. Staying motivated, focused, and determined is going to

2. Personal Goals Of Education
The purpose of an education is to prepare young children and adults for life, work, and citizenship
after completing school. Also, it is my duty as a future educator to empower students in a process
that allows them to develop their passion, compassion, drive, critical thinking skills, and orientation
towards wisdom for timely action. An education and the affect I will have on my students will place
their empty minds with a more open one. I will instill in them, an education is the key to life and it
opens many doors.

While serving as a mentor, all children have certain needs that must be met if they growing and
learning at their best. However, I will provide those needs. Basic needs that will be provided: a
great learning environment, love and nurture, and discipline when needed. Great learning
environments help children enhance their skills and ensure they are ready for the next
educational phase. In addition, love and nurture is important. Every child wants to feel loved. My
goal is to provide my students with love and care because I know this this will help them become
strong, independent individuals as they progress throughout life. Discipline does not always mean
paddling a child. I hope I am able to give a prep talk, a walk down the hall, or place the child in
time–out for 5–10 minutes and if all fails, a phone call home will be made. However, children often
learn from their mistakes.
I will ensure these needs are met by making sure my learning environment is comfortable enough for
all my students to ask questions without being afraid. I will show my students that I care not only
about them, but their education as a whole. Making sure the student's homework is completed and
keeping parents afloat is very essential as it relates to students and their learning abilities.
As a future educator, it is my duty to perform qualities as a teacher. Qualities I think would be vital
and helpful for my assistant and I

Educational Goals and Philosophy As a student of education, I have been able to gather many
ideas and opinions about practices and ideals I want to implement in my future classroom. My
philosophies about education are still being formed and continually change with every class I visit
and with every educator I encounter. My ideas, admittedly, come from random experiences and
intangible texts, but as I gain more experience in the field through my courses, my philosophies
about teaching will become more clearly defined. These few ideas I have now will undoubtedly be
added upon as I enter student teaching and my professional career, nevertheless, they are concepts
of which I hope to never lose sight. I believe...show more content...
It is my sincere hope that every student should look forward to coming into the classroom ready
for new adventures and a whole new world of information every day. Education continually brings
us new adventures just waiting for us to experience its wonder and possibilities. I believe that
students, when presented with a wide variety of interesting lessons, can become interested and
motivated in a way that they never have before. A large part of my educational philosophy is
based on the fundamentals of Progressivism. This philosophy, founded by John Dewey, organizes
schools around the concerns, curiosity, and real world experiences of students. I agree with these
ideas because people must continually learn to keep up with today's fast paced world. I believe
that when learning is relevant and enjoyable students are encouraged to take responsibility for
their own learning. Progressivism has respect for individuality, a high regard for science, and a
receptivity to change that I feel is critical to successful education. As a Progressive teacher I will
facilitate learning by helping students formulate meaningful questions and devise strategies to
answer those questions. In my opinion, answers are best discovered through real world experience,
especially hands on learning or pragmatism. I believe that there is a time and place for
book–learning; however, there is no substitute for actually doing things. I

A long term educational goal for me was going back to school after 4 years and a second child. I
kept putting it off for months and months .I was extremely intimidated due to the fact that I had
two kids to support and; I would only be able to work part time. Finally I had to drive to greenwood
to see the dermatologist and I said that would be the day I go to Kaplan. To make sure I reached my
goal I started by cutting down my work hours and keeping in touch with my advisor. My goals
were achieved after a month and I was proud it made me feel like I could achieve anything as long
as I put my mind to it.

6. My Personal Goals
Dr. Martin Luther King Junior once stated, "I have a dream..." Each and every one of us can
discover that we all have our own dream. Our dream can reflect our career, personal, and academic
goals. When our dream can fulfill each one of these goals, we can define it as our purpose. My
purpose can be very confusing, and contorts to certain situations. In the past week, I have thought
about my true meaning in this world. I believe my purpose is to teach others and make a difference
through influencing other's lives. My life's goal is to teach the uneducated especially pointed
towards the little ones. I want to educate those from the ages of eight months to eight or nine
years. Influencing people's lives can make the difference from a bleak world full of hatred and
dismay to a world full of love and charity towards one another. I hope I can influence just enough
of the right people to learn to accept others how they are presented to us. Personal goals of mine
include teaching children, making a difference by influencing, and starting a family of my own. My
academic goals for college include graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood
Education. Also, I want to maintain a grade point average of three–point–seven or higher. The career
in education can be quite vigorous and I owe it to my future students to attain the best, most
competent education I can receive to be able to teach them well. My career goal is to teach in a

7. My Educational Goals
Education has become an important factor in the ever–volatile world, from elementary school to
junior high–to–high school. Individuals who are fortunate to obtain an education do so, but they
never think much of it until the concluding days of their high school years come. Concerns about
life beyond high school strikes many profoundly, while others possess a clear vision of their desired
future, which may include college. Personal growth and success derives from the experiences.
My hopes for the future is to graduate from high school and go to college. Also, having a job. I
can start on them after school and I want to focus on my future, I have to work hard on that I want
to go to university after college. Education will help me from many different ways through my
career. I want to achieve my goals through education, it is the way most of the people have
success. My goals have always been to improve myself through each year, and to be a better
student/person, and to be a successful student. My goals have always been very big and
meaningful for me. Especially my grades, I want "A" in my classes. These goals are important for
me because that's what everyone wants in their lives, I always have dreamed to be successful. I
want to have "A"s in my classes because I want to graduate with a good GPA.

education. Considering all things, I decided I needed to focus on my college education. The first
thing I needed to accomplish was to enroll in an institution for higher learning. Now that my
enrollment is complete, I am an official student at the University enrolled in the undergraduate
program for business management. As a student at the university, I now have to set personal goals

The most important to me while attending the University is to graduate with honors. I know that I
have the potential and what it takes to accomplish this. In order to graduate with honors I will

seriously and being a positive influence on myself, I know that I will achieve my goals. This
means that I will have to complete all assignments, assuring accuracy and the quality of my work.
Assuring that I complete all assignments, I will also need to do all assignments before they are due.
This will allow me time to make sure that all corrections are done prior to me turning the
assignments in.
To help me along my journey to success, I have made two colorful, eye catching boards that I will
allow myself to look at everyday. The first goal board that I have is a weekly board that I will use
for each class. On this board I will have my individual weekly assignments and my team weekly
assignments with start and due dates. Also I will have contact numbers and email addresses for
people who will benefit me in my course. This would include all my classmates, teammates, and
instructor. As I complete an assignment I will draw a line through that assignment. The second
board that I have displays all my overall personal goals. On this board I will have an outline of all my

my current business abilities, to apply what I learn in the classroom to forward my career, and to

By just going through the motions of coming to work everyday, only getting done what has to be
done, and going home at the end of the day, one might realize that an everyday routine can quickly
turn into a mundane professional life. At the same time, if a person does all of these things, but
shows a bit of initiative to gain more knowledge of the job, they may see an opportunity to
slightly move up in the company. The latter is my situation. My experience and knowledge of my
department and its systems have afforded me the opportunity to move up within the department
over the past five years, but I'm beginning to see a limit of how far those skills alone will allow
me to climb. Being an expert in my field of pharmaceutical benefits doesn't translate into managing
personnel just as knowing how to complete a task doesn't mean I'm able to give a clear
presentation on how it should be done. Sure, I've been rewarded for the work I've done and
knowledge I've obtained, but at some point, my employer will eventually see that more is needed to
continue to promote me to higher, more management focused positions. My goal is to complete these
courses and obtain my degree to prove that, if the situation arises, I can be the right person for the
job. A more personal goal of mine is to finish what I've started. After high school,

Being a college student is not all about gaining from each endeavor encountered. There are gains
and loses simultaneously. As a student develops in his or her academic career, the student eventually
learns that priorities have to be put in place. Being a well–rounded individual can be very difficult as
a STEM student. For this reason, my personal academic goal is to be a well–rounded student and
individual. A well–rounded student can be defined as a student with a minimum of 3.7 GPA with a
role in at least one extracurricular activity. To achieve my goal in becoming a well–rounded
individual, I would like to develop, to the best of my ability, excellent study habits, soft–skills and
self–discipline in all areas of my life. I strive to attain this personal academic goal.

The path I have taken toward obtaining my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Management,

completely comfortable there and after two years of performing poorly, I enrolled at

This brings me to today. Enrolling in Empire State College is one of the best decisions I have
made in quite some time. The Center for Distance Learning program is exactly what I have been
looking for the past few years. I'm sure it is said frequently, but the administration and faculty at
Empire State College are second to none. As many others in the country, I was laid–off in the past
year. I currently make a living doing sporadic part–time work whenever it becomes available. This is
the reason I did not look to go back to the College of Staten Island, as I would be forced to miss
classes from time to time when any work became available. Empire State College has offered me
the chance to do things at my own pace.
Marketing is a field that is universal. Even if I don't obtain a position working in a marketing
department or for an advertising agency, any career I may pursue will require me to market

was previously on as well as fulfilling the other course requirements of Empire State College. The
classes I am currently enrolled in, as well as the ones I plan to register for in the future all serve a
purpose in me continuing my exposure to new marketing techniques and styles. These upper–level

19. "The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities
for a child to invent and discover, to create men who are capable of doing new things," stated by
Jean Piaget. Education serves many purposes; it helps a child open their eyes to the world, it
provides curiosity and determination for a young adult, and it can provide middle age adults and
elders with a spark of belonging and hope. To be able to achieve these purposes, the process of
education must start at a young age. Singing the ABC's to an infant, reading to a toddler,
encouraging writing and math skills are a few steps towards all the possibilities a person could
have in life. The first purpose of education is opening a child's eyes to the world around them. I
believe in order for a child to be fully immersed in education, the parents, and the teachers, must be
fully dedicated to make a lasting impact on a child. The parents need to start teaching the child at a
young age and help the child strengthen their abilities throughout the years. This is similar to what a
teacher needs to do. However, teachers have the tough, and wonderful, job of filling a child up with
new information as well as strengthening their current abilities. Incidentally, the home environment
a child grows up in and the classroom environment are vitally important for a child's education. For
instance, if a parent does not take on the role of a teacher in the early ages, the child will be behind
