Essay My Thoughts on Writing
My Thoughts on Writing
The only thing I care about; the only thing I hope to get from this course, is some improvement in
my ability to write what I think –– explain ideas and feelings to other people. I don't give a damn
about anything else, and so far I haven't been disappointed. At the beginning of the course I was
informed that we were going to be discussing exposition, which isn't so much a kind of writing as a
purpose or attitude behind it. This purpose is to explore, unfold, or develop an idea or issue. And the
sense I've gotten from our discussion is that the attitude is one of intellectual honesty, of dedication
to learning something and reporting what's there , instead of protecting preconceived notions or
projecting agendas...show more content...
A friend of mine has already graduated from a university, and she recently went through a whole
crate of papers she wrote in the process. She told me she couldn't remember what many of them
were about; couldn't even remember writing most of them. We've talked about "themewriting"as
something written for and from a closed environment: a mini–universe apart from everyday life, with
its own abbreviated rules, in which oversimplification is acceptable. When I consider the sheer
tonnage of the stuff that's written every midquarter and finals week around here, it sure seems that
most of it is intended to, deserves to, and does head right for the wastebasket immediately when it's
of no further use in that universe: after it's recorded in the grade book. "Commitment" is a term
applied to solid exposition, and themewriting frequently lacks it.
Does anyone like to do this –– does it provide a warm, human, joyous feeling of having made
contact and saying something Important? Or do we just get comfortable doing it? Like being an
accountant: is there a real sense of joy to be found in adding up columns of figures? There may be
some people who would tell me "sure, it's fun," but I think actually they're just feeling safe in a sort
of half–sleep state which isn't exactly happy and may in fact be miserable, but at least is stable.
There may be a different kind of warmth, reserved for "a job well done," and "I might get a
promotion," and most especially: "I feel good

Losing Someone Essay
Losing Someone The world seems to stand still when you are told. That feeling you have never
felt before, of total sadness. You feel faint and dazed as if you are falling or dreaming. You were
told this was going to happen, but you could never be prepared for it. You don't know what to say,
you are totally speechless. You burn up, feel dizzy but no tears will come. You have to get out of
there, to escape, runaway anything to make this feeling fade. You just don't want to believe it had
happened after everything. Part of you wants to cry your heart out and the other part wants to hit
something with the anger that raging inside you. Sound familiar? She had taken her last breath and

They did exactly say how long she had, but they thought it would be a few days but she even
proved them wrong on that. She lived for another four amazing weeks! The last words I said to
her was that I loved her and goodnight because she was going to sleep, I'm so glad I got to tell her
that because I wanted her to know. The funeral was the biggest challenge, actually having to say
goodbye. So many people were there because she was such an inspiration, a whole sea of pink, her
favourite colour. Thousands of flowers in all shapes and sizes but always pink. It just proved how
special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt
like she was actually there with us which was a huge comfort. She had wanted us all to get drunk
and have a good time so we did as we were told! I have never lost anyone before and being so close
to my age too it was scary. It's still hard now when I see pink or hear her name. The toughest time
was when I got my G.C.S.E results and she wasn't here for me to tell her. I even went to text her
which now I've found out is perfectly normal. The whole time she was ill I never thought she was
actually leave us because she was such a brave fighter so her not being here is hard to handle. She

Me !: What Writing Means To You !
What Writing Means to You!!
Writing for me is a way of expression. It is way of letting go, without anyone having to know your
thoughts. I believe writing is more interesting when you are doing it without being forced. Writing
can be used in many different areas of life whether it is in school, work, or even at home. We are
always writing, even when we don't think we are. Writing can help you be successful in life, it is a
very important qualification on a resume. No place of employment wants to hire a person who is
unable to write. Businesses need to have people who can put their ideas on paper. Unfortunately,
writing papers get boring. However, you have to remember you are writing for a good

Personal Essay : My Personal Qualities
My Personal Qualities
Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and
qualities. One person does not just simply fall into one category, but various categories. What is
beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned
that we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours.
As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on
my collage. I appreciate beautiful things and this is why I got beauty/aesthetics as one of my
highest totals on the values survey. On my collage, I put a picture of a microscope, with the circular
flask and test tubes. I also...show more content...
I know and I have been told that I am a kind and sympathetic person, because I love to help people
and put a smile on their faces. Even when someone is being rude, I try to "kill them with kindness"
in return. I used the quote: "Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind,
a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it
and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not on the outside. I think people sometimes, even
me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality.
A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because
I already knew I had these traits as a part of my personality. However, the results from mylearning
styles survey were a little surprising to me. I got visual as my highest total score, while kinesthetic
and auditory were almost balanced out scores. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last
year, I took a survey to figure out my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The
results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can
be learned and strengthened.
I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I
found out the little unique things that make up my personality. From my personality survey, I am
mostly artistic,

How My Writing Has Improved
After this semester of English 102, at Bristol Community College I feel that I have gained the
skill to articulate what I want to convey to the reader in many ways. I don't just look at
grammatical error, but instead I look for ways to make my sentences more effective and concise.
Nevertheless, I hope that this strategy will continue to help me improve my writing even further
on in the future. My strong points as a reader have also definitely improved after reading the
poems and stories we experienced this semester. Writing has been an important form of
expression for me. I find myself to be very soft spoken and speaking verbally is usually difficult
for me because I can't always seem to find the right words to say. I feel that I am more expressive
and have more control over what I want to say. While this semester progressed toward its end, I
have learned new writing skills and gradually learned how to engage with audiences. This skill
was very useful in meeting my course goals in English 102. I believe that I have grown at
organization and careful stream my thoughts as well. Before I would just begin writing my papers
without any plans or organization, along with no definite idea of where I would be going with the
assignments, but throughout this course I've learned that you should base your paper around your
thesis statement. Another skill I took from this class was to value my classmate's responses, from
their reactions made me much more aware that my main ideas

Improving My Writing
A good writer is someone who knows how to write well, have ideas to put on paper and write a
well–organized essay that answers the question that a professor gives to you. I identify my own
writing by not being good because I have issues sometimes getting words on paper, organizing the
essay and my grammar is not very well. The methods that are effective for improving my own writing
is practice writing and have someone proof read my work. I am in COM100L because my grammar
is not good and my writing on paper is all over the place. My expectation for this course is to
improve my grammar when I write essays and fix my mistakes when I write.

Personal Narrative: My Experience Of Writing
My previous experience in writing hasn't been much. My first few years in high school I don't
remember writing any essays at all till I moved to a different high school in Battle Creek where I
was starting my junior year and my English teacher had us write an essay on compare and contrast
and I struggled with it. I started to dislike writing so much that I didn't even try writing the essays
so I had to repeat the English class. I always had trouble with putting things into detail and putting
the essays together, never knowing how to start or how to end the essays. I took the same teacher
and she saw that I was putting an effort into actually trying to write my essays so she helped me
with my essays and made the essays seem easier to write.

Reflection Paper
English 102 at Delaware Technical Community College is a required course for students and one I
had to take this past semester. In this course, we have three large assignments consisting of an
informative research paper, argumentative research paper and a reflective essay. All three of the
assignments were required to follow an APA (American Psychological Association) format. Learning
to adapt to the APA format helped me learn to do things outside of my comfort zone and enlightened
me that I was not perfect in my writing skills as I had previously thought. Having to adapt to this
format should help me in the future to adapt to other assignments and for writing reports in my
future job. While I do think I learned some valuable skills in this class, I do think there are
somethings that could be changed that would have befitted me further or for future students. It is
a part of life that people will sometimes have to do things they think will be completely pointless, I
thought English 102 at Delaware Technical Community College would be one of those things.
Now that this class is coming to a closure, I realize that I was wrong. This class consisted of an
informative paper on a topic of our choice, an argumentative paper with a topic of our choice as
well, finished with a reflective essay of the course. The informative paper had the objective of
informing the reader about a certain topic without any opinion. The argumentative paper was to
present a discussion with

My Writing
In the past four years, I have written many papers for various classes, enjoying some and others
having to choke out words to write down. In this memo I will describe my writing projects and
how they made me become a better writer, and how they will continue to help develop me into a
becoming a more prosperous writer.
What I Really Learned in English 100
Well as a recent pupil of the Great McFadden I want to do all that I can to be on his good side, for he
said that if I go one mile to meet him, he will go two miles to meet me, which seems more that fair.
As an assignment I am told that I have to write what I learned in English 100 and how that it
prepared me for English 200. Well sincehonesty is the best way of...show more content...
Having taken many writing classes I have learned many things about writing. I enjoy writing and
can often write many pages about things that I am interested in. I know that I have more learning to
do about writing, and hopefully in the next couple weeks my knowledge of writing will have
expanded and my writing will have improved.
My Experience With Writing Arguments
I am unaware of any writing arguments. The only thing I can really think of is writing a research
paper with the intent to change people's minds on a certain subject. I remember researching for
weeks in the library, looking through magazine after magazine. I had searched for enough
information to write a ten–page paper. The writing process of the paper took several weeks but
when I had finished, all the hard work was worth the effort. I learned many things from that course
such as that you need to search for all the information you can because it is better to have too much
information than not enough. Also that course taught me many things about making references to
the authors of the articles I used for my paper. I remember writing out note card after note card and
keeping all the necessary information about each book or magazine. That course taught me to
become a better writer and to respect how much detail really goes into a research paper like I had
written. Other than that, I have not really had much experience in

Losing a Loved One Essay example
Losing a Loved One
Losing a loved one is like having the rug swept from under you. We make plans for the day, and
do not think twice about how those plans can be taken away in the blink of an eye. I never thought
much about it myself, until I was faced with the shock, and undeniable truth of my uncle's death. I
do not think anyone really thinks about tragedy until they are actually faced with shocking news. It
is amazing how we take life for granted. The tragedy never goes away. You just learn how to cope
with it and keep moving on.
My mom had been going to school in Virginia and staying at my Aunt Ana's house. She had been

I felt as if I was paralyzed, I felt that if I moved it would be real. I just had this blank look on my
face. I had no reaction at first and I wanted to deny it, all of it. I kept saying to myself, no it is a lie,
they made a mistake. To my complete horror I was wrong.
My mom kept saying "I have got to go see Fran. I need to see with my brother" My mom ran down
stairs to get ready to go, I followed her and just stood there, still paralyzed. She hugged me and
said that she loved me. I had never seen my mom so panicked. She went into the bathroom to take
a shower and I could still hear her sobbing through the door. I was all by myself, now. I was
standing in the middle of the family room as the words "He is dead" pierced my heart like daggers
of ice. I was screaming OH, GOD NO, and started to cry uncontrollably. The realization that I
would never see my uncle again struck me. After I got myself under control I went and packed my
things to leave with my mother. As soon as we were done we were on the next flight to New Jersey.
I come from a big family with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. As I was
standing there all alone I thought back to the time when I got to spend a week with Fran. Almost a
year ago to the date, most of the family was together for my other uncle's wedding. All the cousins
sat at the same table and we had such a good time together. He was a busy person, he

Describe Yourself As A Writer
When I was young, I always knew that college is important to the major that you choose. When I
see my aunt, I ask many questions about college and how it is like. I thought it would be
challenging and stressful. Then it was stressful because I want to improve my writing. When I see
myself as a writer, I think about the process, then I consider the improvements I need to make, and
lastly the strengths I have.
First, I think about the writing process. When the teacher or professor give me an essay, I start right
away. I start right away because I don't want my work to be late and I have other assignment to do
for other classes. Once I read the prompt, I start my outline to know what to write in my essay. I just
think about what I know and don't know, then put it onto paper. For the outline, I will do sentences
or sometimes words only. It depends on the topic or essay I write. I find the outline is a helpful way
to get started.
After the outline, I start researching the topic. I use the internet for the research. I use it because it
is helpful. It is helpful because I take examples of how to start. I use google and look at images of

The company's creams inventory remains constant because it does not follow a trend in
innovation and changes so often as the other products. The surplus in inventory is a big
disadvantage since; last year's products may not be in style this year in addition to the cost of
storage. For all these reasons their cash flow is less in comparison with previous years causing that
Luxor Cosmetics keeps increasing their bank loans, creating more debt, making it harder to pay out
as 2011. In this particular situation the company could have either decrease its budgeted sales
(productions) or increase its actual sales by improving more effective marketing strategy and
research and development of its products in the markets. This way their inventory would decrease
and their cash flow would increase. (Hopkins, 2009)
Further, through effective marketing strategy Luxor

My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests
and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some
factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a
person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture
may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and
sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a

Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends
I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music'
is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of
adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart
pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I
love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be
on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics
that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly
consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering
(especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is
measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very
strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that,
although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will
not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a
person's identity. I have not had too many educational

My Writing Experience With Writing
All throughout my years of schooling, I've had just about, one paper that was about one page
long, due every year. My papers never had to be more than one page in length. Therefore, I did not
have to do much writing or do many essays. Surely not enough to remember any of the
assignments. Writing has never been something I enjoyed doing, so I never bothered to many
any memories of my writing experiences. I did not think it was necessary to remember any of
them since I only had to do them to get a grade. The only writing experience I remember was the
first assignment I had in this English 100 class about a writing experience. All week long, I sat
there thinking about what to write about, but nothing came to mind as a topic. Then, one thing
came to mind, but it was so very vague, I could not write the length that was needed for the
assignment. I could only think of a few sentences to write for it. After sitting for a few moments
longer, I thought, how about I write about how difficult it was for me to write this essay before it
was due. As a student, I have always struggled in school and never paid much attention in my
classes. I never had very much motivation to go to school. When I was at school, I never listened
to what the teachers were teaching. I never really paid attention and did my work. Instead I spent
my time in class doodling on my papers. Throughout all of my schooling, I cannot remember a
single year where I have missed less than twenty days of school due to me

LEADERSHIP HISTORY Contingency Theories (CT)

CT interpret effective leadership as affected by situational variables, including the followers, work
environment and tasks, and the external environment (Daft, 2005, p.111). CT includes Fiedler's
proposal of predominance and interaction between relationship or taskoriented leadership styles, as
well as Hersey and Blanchard's focus on the characteristics of followers as producing favorable or

substitutes–for–leadership approaches. If the leader understands how to properly interrelate with
situational variables, the possibilities for success would be maximized. Influence Theories Leaders
are challenged to persuade followers effectively integrating power and influence. Followers should
be motivated, shaped and guided through Charismatic Leadership, "influence based...on the qualities

Someone Who Impacted My Life Essay
Someone who impacted my life Most people have impacted my life, but one person particularly
has impacted my life greatly. My granddad was the person that has impacted my life ever since I
was born. Even though my grandpa has been dead for 10 years going on 11 he still impacts my
life daily. Since we had a close relationship I always knew when he is around even though he is
gone. He would have inspired me in ways that most people never didn't. I miss him plenty, but
luckily his spirit is still with us no matter what happens.
Some of my favorite moments with my grandfather were how we always did everything together. I
was glad I lived with my grandparents. Stuff with my actual family weren't the best, because they
thought they couldn't handle me. My grandfather and I had so much fun throughout the years. We
enjoyed going for ice cream the most. We always had the same ice cream every once in a while,
but occasionally we would change it up a little. We usually grabbed chocolate ice cream for a treat,
but sometimes we would decide we want a twist ice cream. I loved spending time with my
grandfather.
One of my favorite parts about my granddad particularly was how he always had something
inspiring to say to me every day to keep me going. Sometimes it feels like he's still inspiring me
today while in heaven. I believe I would be struggling more if I didn't have him around when I was
little. He was the only father that was there for me when needed most. I miss him all the time, but

My Writing Experience
Reading and writing has always created a sense of understanding for me in my art. Reading in the
literal sense is a way that we understand text or symbols in our minds which in turn create meaning.
Writing also in a literal sense is our way of communicating our knowledge and emotions to others
through symbols in text. The human experience for all people includes communication and through
reading and writing this experience is created. From the beginning of this course, my only prior
experience with reading and writing were high school level course over literature and reading. I had
an average level of rhetoric, reading, writing and language overall however, understanding the
significance of these subjects was never put forth in such a way until I took this course. I discovered
through this course that reading is a combination of not only our "visual information" but also our
"nonvisual information". My comprehension of reading has evolved from reading...show more

I feel that organization is both a strength and a weakness in my writing. Free writing is something
that helped me gain a better sense of my ideas and through this I was able to create more structured
ideas. However, the formation of a structurally sound essay that contains writing that flows was
extremely difficult for myself. Fluidity was a challenge throughout my time in this course, but is
was also something that created a better voice in my writing. The understanding of reading and
writing in this course was extremely meaningful for me and made a huge impact on my writing
overall. Writing motivates me and inspires me in my own work to create stories and share with
others what I feel is memorable and should be shared. Although it may never be something perfect,
writing is something I wish to continue improving on and creating in order to share with

My Thoughts On Writing And Writing
Just like the writing I am forcing from my thoughts right now, writing in general is a difficult
process for me to transfer from my mind to paper. I have found that when I write I tend to be very
repetitive by saying the same thing in a different way over and over. I believe that my repetition
is derived from trying to be too complex in the development of how I write. Some additional
problems I come across in developing my rhetoric are concentrating; as my focus can be easily
drawn away from the current topic at hand. I believe that it may be a short intention span or maybe
even lack of understanding toward a certain topic such as the current one about writing
developments. I struggle with my ability to form complete thoughts without jumping topics or
merging each thought into one another. In retrospect to the problems I have come to face with my
writing I do have many things I enjoy about writing. Writing to me is a way to be descriptive and
creative with my own thoughts depending upon the style of course, but for the most part it is
intriguing because everything that I will do in life will require me to have some set of writing
skills. With the following in mind my essay writing process is developed from these aspects. My
writing process will start by forming ideas in my head. Usually I don't like to write these ideas and
thoughts down because I don't feel they are very developed therefore not worth the time it would
take to plan them out on paper. This is especially true

The worse part of her daughter been missing, my dad was out of country for job mission. The
next day, my uncle announced me through the radio and my godmother that moment she was
listening to a radio and found out that I lied to her sister and she took me back to my house.
Seeing my mom crying was a pain for me, I cried deeply and apologized. She smiled at me and
told me, I forgive you but do not do that again. She has a kindly heart to tolerate my mistakes, and
she gives me endless love but asks for nothing in return. When I won the lottery (The green
card)to come in United of states, I told my sister that I don't want to leave my country because I
don't see myself living far from where my mom live. My sister told her, but I did not know that
she did. That day I went to my friend's house party and my mom came to pick me up. When mom
was driving home, she saw me look incredibly down; I couldn't imagine leaving everybody and
everything, to me that was difficulty solution to make. She smiled at me and she said,
"Tomorrow depends on what you are doing today" I pretended to be fine, and I said: I am ok, and

Write An Essay About You As A Writer
It is the end of this high school year and I am glad to say that I accomplished many things. The idea
of doing a blog was a very successful one, given that I was able to write about what i like and
improve my writing skills. Therefore, I believe that throughout this year I was able to grow as a
writer, express myself better, and expand my knowledge. In addition to my English class, I was
also able to improve my skills in others subjects such as history and theology, in which I had to
write a few paragraphs, but mostly I had to read a lot which definitely expanded my knowledge
and improved my vocabulary. That said, since I was required to write about different subjects, I also
had to improve research skills and my creativity when writing about personal opinions. Overall,
being able to write not only English related papers made me abroad my thoughts and enhance my
writing skills. In the same way, my English papers and blog entries also helped me to become a
better writer. I was very found of my blog posts, not only because it was a reflection on my life but
also because of the effort that I put in it. I procrastinated way less this last quarter by making...show

I am sure that I have improved a lot my writing and reading skills. However, I still have to exceed
on how to organize my thoughts and making better word choice. With that in mind, I'll always be
looking for new ways, such as reading, that will make me a better writer. However, I'm glad to say
that from the beginning of the year until now I outdid myself with significant progress. All that
said, I have the goal to keep on writing during the summer so that I can practice the skills that I
learned. Thus, this year was very important in making me a more insightful person, and a better
writer. For that reason, I hope to keep myself motivated so that I can learn more and more and
continue to express myself through my

Essay on Writing Experience
My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the
basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things
like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the
future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers,
documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I
predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in
kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with
no errors. All through elementary my teachers taught me...show more content...
I need to learn to quit thinking as much on what I want to write about and how to write about a topic
and just starting jotting stuff down in outline form as it comes to mind. Run–ons and fragments I
need to be able to spot and fix right away or I really need to not have any in my papers at all. My
goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or
have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge
to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays,
and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in
my nursing profession. In nursing, I will have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to
do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and sex
education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will
have to make sure I do an excellent job on and collect accurate information and statistics so that I
can compare to other sources. Dictating to the doctor means that I will need to write properly so
that he understands what I am saying. Other nurses will have to be able to understand what I am
talking about by my writing skills when doing shift changes. I will have to be very precise so that
other nurses will not

Personal Experience with Writing
I have always considered writing to be a work in progress, and it constantly can be improved. I have
always been devoted to writing. I loved to write stories as a child because I could use my creativity
and create any type of character I desired. But I have struggled with writing as well. English has
never been my forte. I have received A's, B's, C's, and D's on essays. I truly never found my voice in
writing. In my high school, English teachers would give me mixed reviews on my writing. For
example, in 9th grade my English teacher said I was organized with my thoughts, and my writing
process was excellent. While in 10th,11th grade ,12th grade my teachers only said negative things
about my essays. Not being a strong writer made me...show more content...
The essay prompts, that I was given allowed me to challenge myself. The essay prompts were
challenging because each essay I had to approach it differently. For each essay, I wanted to be
creative on how I would approach it. As a writer, you have always change you writing. It was
challenging to decide how I wanted to structure each essay. But, challenge is the key towards
being a perfect writer. Finally, reflecting on English 114A/B my attitude and style of writing has
changed. My attitude has changed because now I see writing as being therapeutic. I see writing
as something to help me relieve stress. It allows me release my feelings, rather than expressing
my words to someone. Also, my style of writing has changed. Taking the English stretch course at
CSUN allowed me to step out of my comfort zone. For instance, I was able to let go of the five
paragraph essay. It was hard, but I was able to do it slowly. Moreover, I was able to let go of the
habit of starting all my essay's with a quote. It was not easy to be open to changing my writing
style. I had to step out of my comfort zone. For instance, some people are scared of change
because they believe that change is bad, because you do not know what to expect. I was not scared
to change my writing style because I look as change as challenge, and the opportunity to start
something new. Adjusting my writing style was a challenge, but I was able to do it. It is

Experience Of Writing
Writing, it has it's good, and it's bad. Regardless of who you are however, you have had an
experience with it. College, High School, Middle School, etc. We all have written something at
some point in our lives. Personally I haven't been exposed to massive amounts of writing outside
of school although, I do enjoy writing songs. There's many different types from Novels, Poetry,
Music, all the way to texting. Most people I feel enjoy writing and as do I. I enjoy writing for a few
reasons,One. It allows me to relieve stress or anything on my mind and keep sane. I have a
journal to keep track of days for later memories and I add to it every day. I have a few experiences
worth sharing as well. One of my first experiences seriously writing is when, I was in Highschool,
and had to write a speech. I spent four days writing this speech. Although it wasn't what you would
call outstandingly fun. The speech was for my graduation on the last day of school BSEP. BSEP
was a project all seniors had to complete and pass to graduate. I have been out of school for two
years since that experience....show more content...
I began writing songs about a year ago. The drive really came out of nowhere I wasn't in a very
good place emotionally. Since I was feeling kind of down I began to write songs mostly R&B and
as well as Hip Hop. Writing these however doesn't require much punctuation. I write a lot of
songs, and I have compiled about 30 total in the past year. I get a lot of good feedback from the
people who have heard them but I am very skittish about singing in front of people. I mostly do it
for self satisfaction in my own head it helps me relax. I'm also building a skill that might one day
turn out to become something

Someone To Write My Essay

  • 1. Essay My Thoughts on Writing My Thoughts on Writing The only thing I care about; the only thing I hope to get from this course, is some improvement in my ability to write what I think –– explain ideas and feelings to other people. I don't give a damn about anything else, and so far I haven't been disappointed. At the beginning of the course I was informed that we were going to be discussing exposition, which isn't so much a kind of writing as a purpose or attitude behind it. This purpose is to explore, unfold, or develop an idea or issue. And the sense I've gotten from our discussion is that the attitude is one of intellectual honesty, of dedication to learning something and reporting what's there , instead of protecting preconceived notions or projecting agendas...show more content... A friend of mine has already graduated from a university, and she recently went through a whole crate of papers she wrote in the process. She told me she couldn't remember what many of them were about; couldn't even remember writing most of them. We've talked about "themewriting"as something written for and from a closed environment: a mini–universe apart from everyday life, with its own abbreviated rules, in which oversimplification is acceptable. When I consider the sheer tonnage of the stuff that's written every midquarter and finals week around here, it sure seems that most of it is intended to, deserves to, and does head right for the wastebasket immediately when it's of no further use in that universe: after it's recorded in the grade book. "Commitment" is a term applied to solid exposition, and themewriting frequently lacks it. Does anyone like to do this –– does it provide a warm, human, joyous feeling of having made contact and saying something Important? Or do we just get comfortable doing it? Like being an accountant: is there a real sense of joy to be found in adding up columns of figures? There may be some people who would tell me "sure, it's fun," but I think actually they're just feeling safe in a sort of half–sleep state which isn't exactly happy and may in fact be miserable, but at least is stable. There may be a different kind of warmth, reserved for "a job well done," and "I might get a promotion," and most especially: "I feel good Get more content on HelpWriting.net

You feel faint and dazed as if you are falling or dreaming. You were told this was going to happen, but you could never be prepared for it. You don't know what to say, you are totally speechless. You burn up, feel dizzy but no tears will come. You have to get out of there, to escape, runaway anything to make this feeling fade. You just don't want to believe it had happened after everything. Part of you wants to cry your heart out and the other part wants to hit something with the anger that raging inside you. Sound familiar? She had taken her last breath and was...show more content... The last words I said to her was that I loved her and goodnight because she was going to sleep, I'm so glad I got to tell her that because I wanted her to know. The funeral was the biggest challenge, actually having to say goodbye. So many people were there because she was such an inspiration, a whole sea of pink, her favourite colour. Thousands of flowers in all shapes and sizes but always pink. It just proved how special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt like she was actually there with us which was a huge comfort. She had wanted us all to get drunk and have a good time so we did as we were told! I have never lost anyone before and being so close to my age too it was scary. It's still hard now when I see pink or hear her name. The toughest time was when I got my G.C.S.E results and she wasn't here for me to tell her. I even went to text her which now I've found out is perfectly normal. The whole time she was ill I never thought she was actually leave us because she was such a brave fighter so her not being here is hard to handle. She was never Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 4. Personal Essay : My Personal Qualities My Personal Qualities Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and qualities. One person does not just simply fall into one category, but various categories. What is beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned that we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours. As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on my collage. I appreciate beautiful things and this is why I got beauty/aesthetics as one of my highest totals on the values survey. On my collage, I put a picture of a microscope, with the circular flask and test tubes. I also...show more content... I know and I have been told that I am a kind and sympathetic person, because I love to help people and put a smile on their faces. Even when someone is being rude, I try to "kill them with kindness" in return. I used the quote: "Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not on the outside. I think people sometimes, even me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality. A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because I already knew I had these traits as a part of my personality. However, the results from mylearning styles survey were a little surprising to me. I got visual as my highest total score, while kinesthetic and auditory were almost balanced out scores. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last year, I took a survey to figure out my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can be learned and strengthened. I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I found out the little unique things that make up my personality. From my personality survey, I am mostly artistic, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. How My Writing Has Improved After this semester of English 102, at Bristol Community College I feel that I have gained the skill to articulate what I want to convey to the reader in many ways. I don't just look at grammatical error, but instead I look for ways to make my sentences more effective and concise. Nevertheless, I hope that this strategy will continue to help me improve my writing even further on in the future. My strong points as a reader have also definitely improved after reading the poems and stories we experienced this semester. Writing has been an important form of expression for me. I find myself to be very soft spoken and speaking verbally is usually difficult for me because I can't always seem to find the right words to say. I feel that I am more expressive and have more control over what I want to say. While this semester progressed toward its end, I have learned new writing skills and gradually learned how to engage with audiences. This skill was very useful in meeting my course goals in English 102. I believe that I have grown at organization and careful stream my thoughts as well. Before I would just begin writing my papers without any plans or organization, along with no definite idea of where I would be going with the assignments, but throughout this course I've learned that you should base your paper around your thesis statement. Another skill I took from this class was to value my classmate's responses, from their reactions made me much more aware that my main ideas Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I identify my own writing by not being good because I have issues sometimes getting words on paper, organizing the essay and my grammar is not very well. The methods that are effective for improving my own writing is practice writing and have someone proof read my work. I am in COM100L because my grammar is not good and my writing on paper is all over the place. My expectation for this course is to improve my grammar when I write essays and fix my mistakes when I write. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My first few years in high school I don't remember writing any essays at all till I moved to a different high school in Battle Creek where I was starting my junior year and my English teacher had us write an essay on compare and contrast and I struggled with it. I started to dislike writing so much that I didn't even try writing the essays so I had to repeat the English class. I always had trouble with putting things into detail and putting the essays together, never knowing how to start or how to end the essays. • 8. Reflection Paper English 102 at Delaware Technical Community College is a required course for students and one I had to take this past semester. In this course, we have three large assignments consisting of an informative research paper, argumentative research paper and a reflective essay. All three of the assignments were required to follow an APA (American Psychological Association) format. Learning to adapt to the APA format helped me learn to do things outside of my comfort zone and enlightened me that I was not perfect in my writing skills as I had previously thought. Having to adapt to this format should help me in the future to adapt to other assignments and for writing reports in my future job. While I do think I learned some valuable skills in this class, I do think there are somethings that could be changed that would have befitted me further or for future students. It is a part of life that people will sometimes have to do things they think will be completely pointless, I thought English 102 at Delaware Technical Community College would be one of those things. Now that this class is coming to a closure, I realize that I was wrong. This class consisted of an informative paper on a topic of our choice, an argumentative paper with a topic of our choice as well, finished with a reflective essay of the course. The informative paper had the objective of informing the reader about a certain topic without any opinion. The argumentative paper was to present a discussion with Get more content on HelpWriting.net

In this memo I will describe my writing projects and how they made me become a better writer, and how they will continue to help develop me into a becoming a more prosperous writer. What I Really Learned in English 100 Well as a recent pupil of the Great McFadden I want to do all that I can to be on his good side, for he said that if I go one mile to meet him, he will go two miles to meet me, which seems more that fair. As an assignment I am told that I have to write what I learned in English 100 and how that it prepared me for English 200. Well sincehonesty is the best way of...show more content... Having taken many writing classes I have learned many things about writing. I enjoy writing and can often write many pages about things that I am interested in. I know that I have more learning to do about writing, and hopefully in the next couple weeks my knowledge of writing will have expanded and my writing will have improved. My Experience With Writing Arguments I am unaware of any writing arguments. The only thing I can really think of is writing a research paper with the intent to change people's minds on a certain subject. I remember researching for weeks in the library, looking through magazine after magazine. I had searched for enough information to write a ten–page paper. The writing process of the paper took several weeks but when I had finished, all the hard work was worth the effort. I learned many things from that course such as that you need to search for all the information you can because it is better to have too much information than not enough. Also that course taught me many things about making references to the authors of the articles I used for my paper. I remember writing out note card after note card and keeping all the necessary information about each book or magazine. That course taught me to become a better writer and to respect how much detail really goes into a research paper like I had written. Other than that, I have not really had much experience in Get more content on HelpWriting.net

We make plans for the day, and do not think twice about how those plans can be taken away in the blink of an eye. I never thought much about it myself, until I was faced with the shock, and undeniable truth of my uncle's death. I do not think anyone really thinks about tragedy until they are actually faced with shocking news. It is amazing how we take life for granted. The tragedy never goes away. I need to see with my brother" My mom ran down stairs to get ready to go, I followed her and just stood there, still paralyzed. She hugged me and said that she loved me. I had never seen my mom so panicked. She went into the bathroom to take a shower and I could still hear her sobbing through the door. I was all by myself, now. I was standing in the middle of the family room as the words "He is dead" pierced my heart like daggers of ice. I was screaming OH, GOD NO, and started to cry uncontrollably. The realization that I would never see my uncle again struck me. After I got myself under control I went and packed my things to leave with my mother. As soon as we were done we were on the next flight to New Jersey. I come from a big family with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. As I was standing there all alone I thought back to the time when I got to spend a week with Fran. Almost a year ago to the date, most of the family was together for my other uncle's wedding. When I see my aunt, I ask many questions about college and how it is like. I thought it would be challenging and stressful. Then it was stressful because I want to improve my writing. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. My papers never had to be more than one page in length. Therefore, I did not have to do much writing or do many essays. Surely not enough to remember any of the assignments. Writing has never been something I enjoyed doing, so I never bothered to many any memories of my writing experiences. I did not think it was necessary to remember any of them since I only had to do them to get a grade. The only writing experience I remember was the first assignment I had in this English 100 class about a writing experience. All week long, I sat there thinking about what to write about, but nothing came to mind as a topic. Then, one thing came to mind, but it was so very vague, I could not write the length that was needed for the assignment. I could only think of a few sentences to write for it. After sitting for a few moments longer, I thought, how about I write about how difficult it was for me to write this essay before it was due. As a student, I have always struggled in school and never paid much attention in my classes. I never had very much motivation to go to school. When I was at school, I never listened to what the teachers were teaching. I never really paid attention and did my work. Instead I spent my time in class doodling on my papers. My granddad was the person that has impacted my life ever since I was born. Even though my grandpa has been dead for 10 years going on 11 he still impacts my life daily. Since we had a close relationship I always knew when he is around even though he is gone. He would have inspired me in ways that most people never didn't. I was glad I lived with my grandparents. Stuff with my actual family weren't the best, because they thought they couldn't handle me. My grandfather and I had so much fun throughout the years. We usually grabbed chocolate ice cream for a treat, but sometimes we would decide we want a twist ice cream. I loved spending time with my grandfather. • 21. My Thoughts On Writing And Writing Just like the writing I am forcing from my thoughts right now, writing in general is a difficult process for me to transfer from my mind to paper. I have found that when I write I tend to be very repetitive by saying the same thing in a different way over and over. I believe that my repetition is derived from trying to be too complex in the development of how I write. Some additional problems I come across in developing my rhetoric are concentrating; as my focus can be easily drawn away from the current topic at hand. I believe that it may be a short intention span or maybe even lack of understanding toward a certain topic such as the current one about writing developments. I struggle with my ability to form complete thoughts without jumping topics or merging each thought into one another. In retrospect to the problems I have come to face with my writing I do have many things I enjoy about writing. Writing to me is a way to be descriptive and creative with my own thoughts depending upon the style of course, but for the most part it is intriguing because everything that I will do in life will require me to have some set of writing skills. With the following in mind my essay writing process is developed from these aspects. My writing process will start by forming ideas in my head. Usually I don't like to write these ideas and thoughts down because I don't feel they are very developed therefore not worth the time it would take to plan them out on paper.
