States under the 1976 Copyright Act to individuals whose
work is original known as “authorship,” which includes:

Dramatic
Musical
Artistic
Certain other intellectual works

work.
It is illegal for anyone to violate the rights set forth in the
copyright law to the owner of the copyright.
