She only announced she was filing for divorce earlier yesterday but Kim Kardashian has already
stepped out without her engagement and wedding rings.
The 31-year-old reality TV star was seen arriving at LAX airport heading for a trip to Australia.
Kim looked tired and was dressed down for the flight in a simple white T-shirt, black jeans and a
leather jacket.

While Kris is reportedly 'devastated' by the not-so-shock announcement, after rumours have dogged
their marriage for weeks, Kim's camp are said to be claiming her estranged husband was chasing
fame.
According to TMZ, when divorce was mentioned Kris 'went into full Hollywood gear, talking about
branding the Kris Humphries name with cologne, nightclub appearances'.
Kim was also said to have gone off Kris after he 'hired a Hollywood publicist' according to the gossip
website.
Kris' motives were questioned by Khloe Kardashian before their wedding, which viewers say in the
reality show about their wedding which saw the pair come to blows.
Meanwhile reports are emerging that their whole marriage, which is said to have netted the former
couple $18million, is a hoax, according to Radaronline.com.

Celebrities and VIPs took to Twitter in their droves in the wake of news Kim was filing for divorce
from Kris.
While some were sympathetic, the reaction was largely cynical, with hashtags
'thingslongerthanKimsmarriage', 'REASONSYOURSINGLE', and 'DIVORCE' among the topics
trending on Twitter.
CNN talk show host Piers Morgan - who has interviewed Kim in the past - retweeted: 'Kim
Kardashian sold the rights to her wedding for $17.9 million. Her marriage lasted 72 days. That
comes to a nifty $10,358.80 per hour.'
Late Show with David Letterman writer Justin Stangel weighed in: 'Wow -- @KimKardashian getting
divorced. I'm shocked! Reality show weddings usually last.'
Some of Humphries' fellow NBA player mocked the divorce too. Houston Rockets' player Terrence
Williams tweeted: 'You can't make fake love work not even money.... It's just TV entertainment smh.'
Samantha Ronson, whose ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan was a guest at the wedding, exclaimed: 'Wait,
so it was actually a real wedding?'
Musician Questlove was thinking along the same lines: 'Wait, Kim Kardashian got married?'
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton was seemingly angered that Kim had apparently made a mockery of her
right to marriage. He wrote: 'I love @KimKardashian, but as a gay man in America who is treated as
a second class citizen when it comes to civil marriage, I am offended!'

5. There were a few supporters out there, however. Kelly Osbourne tweeted: '@KimKardashian
thinking of you stay strong don't listen to the haters listen to your heart! Xoxo.'
And music mogul Russell Simmons also offered some kind sentiments: 'Hoping the best for Kim'
A source told the website: 'It was pretty much an arranged marriage right from the start.'
'Kim was looking for a husband and Kris was selected for her, amongst others. She wasn't really into
him but she hoped she would be able to develop some feelings, but it never happened.
'She was never particularly attracted to him, and by all accounts absolutely hated sleeping with him
or even having to make out with him.'
Yesterday Kris was seen in his home state of Minnesota wearing his wedding ring as he headed to
the gym.
Neither Kris nor Kim have tweeted about their marriage breakdown although the socialite did issue
a statement earlier yesterday.
Kim insisted she had hoped the marriage would 'last forever'.
The 31-year-old reality star said it was 'not an easy decision' after filing for divorce from NBA star
Kris, 26, after just 72 days of marriage on the grounds of 'irreconcilable differences'.
In a statement to E! - which screens her TV show - Kim said: 'After careful consideration, I have
decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision.
'I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain
friends and wish each other the best.'

Kris, meanwhile, says he is devastated by Kim's decision, with TMZ claiming he only learnt she was
divorcing him this morning.

his representative.
'I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce ... I'm willing to do whatever it takes
to make it work.'

is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.'
Kim ensured they both signed a prenuptial agreement before they got hitched at a lavish ceremony
on August 20 in Montecito, California.
It netted the couple a reported $18million from magazine deals, TV coverage and endorsements -
that's $250,000 every day.

cynically plugged her new boutique Kardashian Khaos, which opens today at The Mirage hotel in Las

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian also tweeted to defend her elder sister against negative comments.
'Reading some of these comments r so hurtful,' she wrote. 'I'm grateful 4our fans who understand r
being respectful. Hate is disgusting. Love is everything.'
She then added on a later tweet: 'Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become
closer! I love YOU.'

the Superior Court of California show.

According to Us Weekly, the couple's assets will be divided in accordance with their prenuptial

Kim's assets prior to the marriage are said to all be protected, and she will also keep everything she
