directly to family and important others.
It is more important for important others/families to
be able to hear, acknowledge and attune to feelings
than counselor alone.
Learning to share emotion can be a powerful
alternative to acting (gambling) out emotional
distress.

Those who gamble often become self-centered and

connection and relational accountability.

boundaries that might challenge/restrict impact of other’s
gambling
Attunement is integral
to accepting influence.

relationship with feelings that typically
