2. Hello, my name is Olesya.
I am 15. I am from very
little Russian village
Chagan-Uzun. All pupils in
our village like sports and I
am no exception!
I'm fond of volleyball and
play for the school team.
But I would like to tell you
about my classmate –
Ratmir Adukenov.
3. A young wrestler
Ratmir was born in
26 August 1998.
He has been fond
of wrestling still his
childhood.
Now he is a very
experienced
fighter. He is very
strong, brave and
hardworking
person.
4. A bit of history of
Greco-Roman
wrestling
Greco-Roman wrestling is a style of wrestling
that is practiced worldwide. It was contested at the
first modern Olympic Games in 1896 and has been
included in every edition of the summer Olympics
held since 1908.
Two wrestlers are scored for their performance in
two three-minute periods, which can be terminated
early by a pinfall. This style
of wrestling forbids holds below the waist which is
the major difference from freestyle wrestling, the
other form of wrestling at the Olympics. This
restriction results in an emphasis
on throws because a wrestler cannot use trips
to takean opponent to the ground, or avoid throws
6. I belive in Ratmir, he is future Olympic
champion.
Only imagine! My classmate Ratmir will be
able Olympic champion! Now he is studying
at sport school of Olympic reserve in
Novokuznetsk
7. Especially for this project I took a miniinterview and asked some questions to Ratmir.
