An overview of some of the development efforts in Historic Downtown Maplewood, Missouri.
The city of Maplewood redeveloped its downtown by creating a Special Business District and a retail-only zone. The process for opening a business was streamlined, city staff work as a team to assist businesses in opening.
Events, public art and adding key businesses to the districts helped increase the momentum of the area.
