An entertaining morning of races on Sunday to get you in the running
spirit. The third-annual B.A.A. 5K will host 5,000 runners on an urban
course that passes historic Boston landmarks, and finishes across the
famous finish line on Boylston Street.
6. B.A.A. Invitational Mile
Sunday, April 17
Copley Square Park
Immediately following the 5K, a number of the world’s fastest mile runners
will compete in the B.A.A. Invitational Mile. Also, middle school and
scholastic runners from the eight cities and towns along the Marathon
route will take part in a 1,000 meter, and one-mile race, respectively.
All of Sunday’s races finish at the Marathon finish line, and are great
spectator events

10. Nissan Leaf on Display
The Nissan Leaf will be the Pace Car for the B.A.A. 5K on Sunday at 8 a.m.
Following the race, the Leaf will be on display at Copley Square until 11 a.m.
Stay in Touch with AT&T
On race day, AT&T will have three locations in the Family Meeting Area
equipped with phones where runners and family members can make
complimentary phone calls.
Participants can use the phones to call a friend or loved one to let them
know they finished the Marathon, and the phones can also be used to help
locate each other in the Family Meeting Area.
