'Made for each other' campaign went on to become one of the
longest-running ones. As brand marketing consultant
Counselage India's managing partner, Suhel Seth, says, "It's
timeless, rewarding and relevant."

with expertise in multi-fibre manufacturing acquired rights for
manufacturing and marketing X in India in 1998. X’s logo is
Rupert the aristocratic ram. Id X

boards of Microsoft, Facebook among others. In 1997, X was
charged a late fee of $40 by a movie rental company for
delayed return of a copy of Apollo 13 DVD. This eventually led

in Kolkata, West Bengal. It started as a micro-finance company in
2001, along with IDFC which was into Infrastructure Funding, have

inaugurated the bank in a program held in Kolkata. Initially it opens
with 501 branches across India. It became the first private bank in 11
years to commence commercial operation.

the caption ‘If ___________ did illegal immigrants’ caused a bit
of controversy, however the brand name he borrowed here got
free publicity. FITB (The brand is known for its successful
marketing campaign with a similar line)

aggressive and competitive, hence make bad colleagues.

This entire franchising operation was sold in 1964 for $2 million.
Following the buyout, a food lab found that it consisted solely of
sugar, flour, salt, black pepper and monosodium glutamate (MSG).
The proprietor concluded that it was entirely possible that, in the
years since he sold the chain, later owners had begun skimping on the
recipe to save costs. He expressed his anger at such changes, saying:
"That friggin' ... outfit .... They prostituted every goddamn thing I had.
I had the greatest gravy in the world and those sons of bitches-- they
dragged it out and extended it and watered it down that I'm so
goddamn mad!"

• Home Taping Is Killing Music" was the slogan of a 1980s anti-
copyright infringement campaign by the British Phonographic
Industry(BPI), a British music industry trade group. With the
rise in cassette recorder popularity, the BPI feared that the
ability of private citizens to record music from the radio onto
cassettes would cause a decline in record sales. The logo,
consisting of a Jolly Roger formed from the silhouette of
a Compact Cassette, also included the words And It's Illegal.

The value of Phillip Morris International’s partnership with
Ferrari is estimated to be between $100 million and $130
million and until 2003 it freely advertised on their F1 cars
However a directive passed by the European Parliament and
Council in 2003 , bans tobacco advertising in the print media, on
radio and over the internet. It also prohibits tobacco
sponsorship of cross-border cultural and sporting events. What
sneaky method did PMI come up with to get away with it ? It
was in 2011 after coming under fire from many government
authorities.

after getting stuck in Puerto Rico while trying to get to the

They didn’t have enough passengers to warrant the flight, so
they cancelled the flight” X explains. “I had a beautiful lady
