Once there was a girl named Charlotte she was
heading home in her carriage with her mom and dad
when out of nowhere there was a big storm. Her mom
and dad died and so did the horse. After the storm a
man had found her. He put her into a boy-only
orphanage to work.

4. Conflict
Charlotte is a girl who lives in the 1800s so she
can’t do any thing that boys can do. She has
to work in the kitchen with a mean old lady.
Hayward the old man who worked at the
horse stables helped her to escape to
Freedom.

• Will Charlotte's dream of owning her own
ranch come true?
• How many horses will she have at her ranch if
she owns one?
