5. 1: In what ways does your media product use, develop
or challenge forms and conventions of real media
products?
The target audience could be one of the one aspect that similar
would be the target audience which 15-24 bias on the male side but
only because Rock music is a predominantly Male based.
Another aspect could be that I edited my images like most of the
images on a popular magazines are edited to make it look better.
The other one also is that it follows the rule of thirds like most of
the popular magazine.
The other way is that the I used the San-Serif Fonts as the popular
magazines.
I put most of the similarities like the masthead, cover lines as seen
the slides before and the purpose it fill is that it makes my magazine
look more professional and it more familiar to many viewers.
6. 2. How does your media product represent particular social
groups?
• I chosen a young white male character to be the
artist on the front cover of the AMP magazine, as the
genre has the majority of the artist are white.
• The font also portrays the plain text with a Rock Vibe
with it .
• The Person in the image show the person as a hipster
and it shows the target audience.
7. 3:What kind of media institution might distribute
your media product and why?
I choose Bauer Because it reaches over 19 million UK
adults across multiple media channels. They have more
than 80 influential media brands spanning a wide range
of interests, including heat, GRAZIA, Closer, MCN, FHM,
Parkers, MATCH, Magic 105.4, Kiss 100, Kerrang and
4Music.
8. 4: Who would the audience be for your media product?
The target audience for my magazine are white
young adults which area aged between 15-24
years of age. General interest in the indie and
modern rock music is needed to be interested in
the AMP Magazine.
The people who would be interested in the
magazine would be a Upper Class D to a Lower
Class B
9. 5. How did you attract/address your
audience?
The magazine attracts the audience by the similar layout, fonts styles,
artists etc. Like Karrang magazine the layout changes for different
bands because Rock has many Sub Genre.
• In the magazine I used a popular artist of
today.
• I used a male protagonist and used
Photoshop to make it look more appealing
to attract mostly males but can be used to
attract females as well.
• I also made emphasis on the masthead
Bold and Stylized so that it may look eye
catching and highlights the theme of the
magazine.
10. 5. How did you attract/address your
audience?
• I used the same background colour to keep
my house style and to appeal to the target
audience.
• I placed the picture so that it may relate to
the picture above to keep the reader
interested in the magazine.
• I also edited the pictures through
Photoshop to give the photo a more
professional look.
• I used male only photos because the
majority of the target audience is male.
11. 6. What have you learnt about technologies from
the process of constructing this product?
In the Task I used Photoshop and Indesign
12. 6. What have you learnt about technologies from
the process of constructing this product?
In the Task I developed on my existing skills I used in the
preliminary task e.g. like the crop tool for the main image.
I made my front cover with Photoshop
and I used the things like drop
shadows on my masthead, inner
shadow etc.
I also Tweaked the Brightness level on every
picture to make it look more professional.
13. 7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you
feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full
product?
I found that preliminary task was much
less detailed like the brightness levels
were not tampered with so the pictures
look amateurish and the text is more
wacky to make it more appealing to the
target audience.
I used the limited amount of colours as well
like the colour scheme was majorly based on
Red – Blue However as in my other magazine
I used a variety of different colours.
