A Childs' Mind, playful and moving, is a Healthy approach for your Well-Being. There is much you can Do now, that if practiced with enthusiasm, will lead to Healthy Habits. There is also much that you Can Avoid that will also lead to Positive Health Actions. I knew a 90 year old gentleman that on a daily basis got down on the floor to don his socks. When asked why he did that replied, " the day I can not get on the floor and get up off the floor, I know I'm in trouble". Get down on the floor to put your socks on in the morning. This requires elements of strength and mobility that if not practiced daily you may lose that ability. You may already be noticing a decline in that seemingly easy task. Choose to stretch and maintain joint and muscle mobility. Sustained work and daily postures(computer, sitting and standing) have consequences: > Fatigued muscles > Poor circulation > Back and Neck Pain Prolonged sitting is an avoid for a healthy lifestyle and is the cause of epidemic proportions of obesity in our society. The Do for Sitting is: > Choose to get up from your 'Lazy Boy' at least every 30 minutes and walk around the room. > Stretch your legs, extend your back and take a few deep breaths. Even a few minutes has great benefit towards Your Health. Healthy Food Choices for Your Health Make Food preparation a part of your Healthy Habit. Fuel Your Brain with Healthy Food. What sits in your gut adds to your Health, benefiting neurotransmitters. This adds to your Happiness and reduces stress hormones.
