Welcome to Brazil! ‐ forecasted by leading economists to outstrip many of the worlds leading

Goldman Sachs states that Brazil offers “fantastic opportunities …spectacular potential”.
Brazil encompasses 3.3 million square miles and has 183 million inhabitants. Only Russia, Canada,
China and the US are bigger in terms of land mass and only the US, China, India and Indonesia have
larger populations. Brazil is by far the largest and most populated country in South America with
50% of all South America’s inhabitants.
There is vast on‐going investment in Brazil’s infrastructure and Brazil’s $796 billion economy makes it
the world’s 9th largest and accounts for over 50% of South America’s total GDP. In fact, its GDP is
predicted to more than double by 2025 when it should become the world’s 8th largest economy.
International flights arriving in Brazil have increased by 13% per annum over the last 3 years. Tourist
figures are projected to reach one billion per annum over the next five years. Interest rates have

5. Fortaleza
This charming, deep‐rooted city offers architectural echoes from its colonial past
fused with modern city buildings and a fantastic array of amenities. Fortaleza has
a thriving, bustling, lively ambiance and is home to some four million inhabitants.
Boasting a multitude of bars and restaurants, schools, transport connections and
hospitals, Fortaleza offers all the creature comforts of a modern vibrant city.
Fortaleza means “Fortress” – the name originates from the first building to be
constructed in Fortaleza, namely, the Fortress Schoonenborch. Built in 1649 by
the Dutch, who at the time, had invaded and were occupying cities in the Brazilian
North East such as Recife and Natal. After the Dutch were expelled, the city
changed name several times, finally settling upon “Fortaleza”.
Flights
Flights are available direct to North East Brazil from major airports. From
December 21st 2008, Delta Airlines will be flying from Atlanta to Forteleza (1
stop) with the return flight to Atlanta non‐stop from Forteleza.

6. Flexeiras Beach
Located just over an hours drive from Brazil’s North East city of
Fortaleza, Flexeiras is a picturesque and unspoilt fishing village with
constant sunshine the whole year through, gentle breezes, a NASA
accredited air quality surpassed only by that of Antarctica, a total lack
of natural phenomena such as earthquakes, hurricanes or tsunami’s ‐

For the sporty, Flexeiras offers a wide range of activities ranging from
