This document provides step-by-step instructions for making an easy homemade apple pie. 2. Step One
Pie Dough
• Prepare dough for 9-inch double crust
• Split into two halves
• Set one half aside for later
• Roll out other half
• Line bottom of pie plate
3. Step Two
Apples
• Peel & slice 8 apples
• Place into large bowl
• Add the following:
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp nutmeg
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Toss with apples
4. Step Three
Sauce
• Melt ½ cup butter in pan
• Add 4 Tbsp all-purpose flour
• Stir to form a paste
• Add the following:
• ¾ cup brown sugar
• ¼ cup white sugar
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¼ cup water
• Bring to boil
• Reduce heat & simmer 5 minutes
5. Step Four
Put it Together
• Mix sauce and
apples together
• Fill pie crust with
apples
• Roll out top crust
• Cover apples with
crust
• Brush crust with
milk & sugar
6. Step Five
Bake & Enjoy
Bake Pie Enjoy
• 425 degrees for 15
minutes
• Reduce temperature to
350 degrees
• Bake additional 45
minutes
• Remove and cool for 30
minutes
