survey, which shows organizations’
key cyber-security priorities and chal-
lenges through to 2023, and highlights
the changes to their security strategies
forced by the COVID-19 pandemic
during 2020.
Over half of respondents said their
organizations are seeing more attacks
and threats now than at the start of
2020.   The majority believe their ap-
proach to security will not return to
its pre-pandemic state, with just one in
five saying that their security operations
have returned to what they were.  Key
findings from the survey of over 600 IT
security professionals globally are:

Avaya OneCloud CPaaS can automate and speed access to

Global survey shows securing remote workers and protecting cloud
deployments are some of the leading challenges for next two years.
Organizations’ biggest security chal-
lenges going into 2021:  Security for
employees working remotely was the
leading challenge, followed by pre-
venting phishing and social engineer-
ing attacks, maintaining secure remote
access, and protecting cloud applica-
tions and infrastructure (39%).
Security priorities for the next two
years:  The leading priorities through
to 2023 is securing remote working,
endpoint and mobile security, and se-
curing public or multiple clouds, clear-
ly ahead of issues such as IoT security
and email security.
2020’s shift in security strate-
gies:  Ninety five percent of respon-
they had accelerated existing security
projects during 2020, showing that for
the majority, their pandemic response
involved an unplanned re-invention of
their business model.
The new normal is here to
stay:  About half of all respondents
believed that their approach to secu-
rity will not return to pre-pandemic
norms. While 29% said that they ex-
pect a return to pre-Covid operations
at some point in the future, and just
20% believed their situation has now
returned to what it was.

cyber-attacks and threats, organiza-
tions need to prioritize closing off
any security gaps across their new
distributed networks, from employ-
ees’ home PCs and employees them-
selves to the data center.

need to quickly contact those who
need the vaccine, they must respond
to the massive influx of incoming in-
quiries that is anticipated, track the
effectiveness of the vaccine and any
possible side effects, and manage this
across mobile, web browser, email, and
other digital channels. Avaya One-

WebSprix to Deploy Cisco
Routed Optical Networking
Solution with Cisco 8000
Ethiopia’s population of 115 million
makes it the second largest in Africa,
yet fewer than 270,000 people have
fixed broadband internet access. In
addition, many businesses are ready to
take advantage of high-speed internet,
but the infrastructure for widespread
adoption hasn’t been available.
Over the past decade, WebSprix has
been building the strong information
technology infrastructure critical for
Ethiopia to achieve robust economic
growth. This new solution will signifi-
cantly expand the reach and services
they provide.
The Cisco Routed Optical Network-
ing solution will converge the IP and
optical layers into a simpler, more op-
erationally efficient network, granting
streamlined planning, design, activa-
tion, troubleshooting, and manage-
ment. Reducing the number of devices
Cisco has announced that Web-
Sprix, an IT solutions and services
provider in Ethiopia, has select-
ed its Routed Optical Networking
solution set to launch in the first
half of 2021. The Cisco Routed
Optical Networking solution, part
of Cisco’s overall Converged SDN
Transport Architecture, will pro-
vide a revolutionary reduction in
network cost and simplify manage-
ment of the network.
Ethiopia-based WebSprix to deploy Cisco solution for enhanced resiliency,
reduced cost, and greater network simplicity.
To help them do this, Citrix under-
took the Talent Accelerator, a survey of
2,000 knowledge workers and 500 HR
Directors in large, established corpora-
tions and mid-market businesses based
in the US conducted by Censuswide.
A few key findings as below:
Digital Nomads: Now, more than ever,
employees want flexibility in where,
when and how they work. In fact, 88
percent of those workers surveyed as
part of the Talent Accelerator said that
when searching for a new position,
they would look for one that offers
complete flexibility in their hours and
location. And 76 percent believe that
employees will be more likely to pri-
oritize lifestyle over proximity to work,
Citrix Uncovers What
Employees Really Want in 2021
even if it means taking a pay cut.
Virtual Reality: While the pandemic
and the remote work mandates asso-
ciated with it have physically separat-
ed workers, technology is proving its
worth and keeping them connected,
engaged and productive. As the Talent
Accelerator discovered that 89 percent
of employees believe that technology
makes workers within their organiza-
tion more productive. 86 percent of
employees and 69 percent of HR di-
rectors report that business leaders in
their organization are using technology
to collaborate effectively and innovate.
Outcomes over Output: In the future,
companies will need to rethink how
they measure productivity because
traditional metrics – and views that
real work can’t get done outside the
office - will no longer cut it. Accord-
ing to the Talent Accelerator, modern
employees want to be measured on the
value they deliver, not the volume. And
they expect to be given the space and
trust they need to do their very best
work, wherever they happen to be.
Latest research shows flexibility, agility, diversity and a superior
experience will be key to attracting and retaining talent.
Accordingtothe latestresearch from Ci-
trix Systems, workers believe flexible
models, digital technology, diversity
and inclusion and learning and devel-
opment will drive the future of work.
And they will seek opportunities with
companies that share their vision and
give them the space and tools they need
to succeed and advance their careers.
Tim Minahan, Executive Vice Pres-
ident of Strategy, Citrix, said,  “The
pandemic has forever changed the way
employees view and approach work,
and if businesses want to attract and
retain the talent they need to move for-
ward tomorrow, they must understand
their mindset and desires and develop
plans to accommodate them today.”

WebSprix will be the first ISP in Ethi-
opia to offer high-speed broadband
internet access, IPTV, and voice ser-
vices together. The Cisco Routed Op-
tical Networking solution with the
8000 series routers will enable Web-
Sprix to offer these services at a low
cost, while maintaining outstanding
customer service.
Websprix’s Cisco Routed Optical
Networking solution design will uti-
lize the Cisco 8200 series routers with
400 GbE ZR/ZR+ coherent optics to
build a high-speed network back-
bone that traditionally would have
required building and managing a
separate optical network. The ZR/
ZR+ optics will allow long distance
fiber connections to terminate di-
rectly on the router without the need
for a separate optical layer or a sacri-
fice in router port density.
Bill Gartner, Senior Vice President and
General Manager, Optical and Optics,
Cisco, said, “As an early adopter of
the Cisco Routed Optical Network-
ing solution, WebSprix can continue
to help build a stronger information
infrastructure in Ethiopia and boost
economic growth.”
The pandemic has

Tableau Software has announced the
general availability of Tableau 2020.4,
which simplifies enterprise-wide data
preparation and analysis by bringing
the full suite of Tableau Prep capa-
bilities to the browser on Tableau
Server and Tableau Online. This new
addition lowers deployment costs
across the organization, while sim-
plifying the data prep process by en-
abling analysts to build and edit their
data flows without leaving their web
browser. Other capabilities intro-
duced in Tableau 2020.4 include the
ability to add unlimited spatial layers
to maps, a Resource Monitoring Tool
(RMT) now available on Linux, and
additional native data connectors.
“Tableau Prep has taken the tedious
task of data preparation and made it
accessible to anyone by making it easy,
visual, and direct,” said Francois Ajen-
stat, Chief Product Officer at Tableau.
“Now anyone can access, build, and
edit their data flows directly in the
browser from anywhere, putting full
data preparation capabilities in the
hands of anyone in the organization.”
Tableau Prep Builder is designed to
help customers easily combine, shape,
and clean their data prior to analyz-
ing it, using the same drag-and-drop
simplicity familiar to all Tableau us-
ers. New in 2020.4, this process can
now be done completely within a web
browser, simplifying the experience
for organizations while allowing IT
administrators to centrally man-
age deployment and version control
without manually updating individ-
ual machines. Now, analysts are able

Tableau Server on Linux has been an
invaluable solution for customers who
deploy Linux in their IT environments
and don’t want to maintain a Win-
dows instance to host their Tableau
deployment. With the addition of the
Resource Monitoring Tool on Linux
in 2020.4, customers with the  Serv-

proactively monitor and troubleshoot
the health of their deployments, with
deep visibility into both hardware and
software performance. Previously only
available on Windows-based deploy-
ments, the RMT on Linux can help
customers to identify issues causing
slow load times, extract failures, and
other critical issues that can impact
the experience for end users.
• Cloud Tiering for Objects Stor-
age: Nutanix Objects can now
deliver tiering of object data to
an S3-compatible object store,
including cloud storage such as
AWS S3. This helps enable cus-
tomers to lower the cost of long-
term storage and archival by
taking advantage of public cloud
infrastructure. This new intelli-
gent tiering capability will also
significantly improve data lifecy-
cle management across different
clouds, while still maintaining
visibility and control, as metadata
is retained on-premises for easier
search and retrieval. Customers

• Hybrid Cloud File Storage: Nuta-
nix Files is now generally available
to run in public clouds through Nu-
tanix Clusters. A true hybrid cloud
file storage solution, Nutanix Files
now delivers a unified experience,
along with simplified single-pane
management, across cloud deploy-
ment modes, spanning the edge, re-
mote offices, and core data centers,
and public cloud. This provides cus-
tomers with the flexibility to choose
the right cloud, offer easy scalabil-
ity, and deliver more control over
hybrid cloud file storage.
•
Simplified Disaster Recovery:
Nutanix Objects and Files now
deliver improved recovery point
objective (RPO) ensuring data is
always available across datacenters
and clouds in the event of a disas-
ter. Objects now provide streaming
replication, with an RPO of just a
few seconds, particularly helpful
for containerized workloads that
can use S3 endpoints for primary
storage. This allows enterprises to
containerize their mission-critical
stateful applications, and ensure
business continuity even in the
most strenuous of circumstances.

In addition, many businesses are ready to take advantage of high-speed internet, but the infrastructure for widespread adoption hasn’t been available. Over the past decade, WebSprix has been building the strong information technology infrastructure critical for Ethiopia to achieve robust economic growth. This new solution will signifi- cantly expand the reach and services they provide. The Cisco Routed Optical Network- ing solution will converge the IP and optical layers into a simpler, more op- erationally efficient network, granting streamlined planning, design, activa- tion, troubleshooting, and manage- ment. Reducing the number of devices Cisco has announced that Web- Sprix, an IT solutions and services provider in Ethiopia, has select- ed its Routed Optical Networking solution set to launch in the first half of 2021. To help them do this, Citrix under- took the Talent Accelerator, a survey of 2,000 knowledge workers and 500 HR Directors in large, established corpora- tions and mid-market businesses based in the US conducted by Censuswide. A few key findings as below: Digital Nomads: Now, more than ever, employees want flexibility in where, when and how they work. In fact, 88 percent of those workers surveyed as part of the Talent Accelerator said that when searching for a new position, they would look for one that offers complete flexibility in their hours and location. And 76 percent believe that employees will be more likely to pri- oritize lifestyle over proximity to work, Citrix Uncovers What Employees Really Want in 2021 even if it means taking a pay cut. Virtual Reality: While the pandemic and the remote work mandates asso- ciated with it have physically separat- ed workers, technology is proving its worth and keeping them connected, engaged and productive. As the Talent Accelerator discovered that 89 percent of employees believe that technology makes workers within their organiza- tion more productive. 86 percent of employees and 69 percent of HR di- rectors report that business leaders in their organization are using technology to collaborate effectively and innovate. Outcomes over Output: In the future, companies will need to rethink how they measure productivity because traditional metrics – and views that real work can’t get done outside the office - will no longer cut it. Accord- ing to the Talent Accelerator, modern employees want to be measured on the value they deliver, not the volume. And they expect to be given the space and trust they need to do their very best work, wherever they happen to be. Latest research shows flexibility, agility, diversity and a superior experience will be key to attracting and retaining talent. Accordingtothe latestresearch from Ci- trix Systems, workers believe flexible models, digital technology, diversity and inclusion and learning and devel- opment will drive the future of work. And they will seek opportunities with companies that share their vision and give them the space and tools they need to succeed and advance their careers. Tim Minahan, Executive Vice Pres- ident of Strategy, Citrix, said,  “The pandemic has forever changed the way employees view and approach work, and if businesses want to attract and retain the talent they need to move for- ward tomorrow, they must understand their mindset and desires and develop plans to accommodate them today.” in the network enhances resiliency, increases availability, and optimizes fiber capacity. Websprix’s Cisco Routed Optical Networking solution design will uti- lize the Cisco 8200 series routers with 400 GbE ZR/ZR+ coherent optics to build a high-speed network back- bone that traditionally would have required building and managing a separate optical network. The ZR/ ZR+ optics will allow long distance fiber connections to terminate di- rectly on the router without the need for a separate optical layer or a sacri- fice in router port density. Bill Gartner, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Optical and Optics, Cisco, said, “As an early adopter of the Cisco Routed Optical Network- ing solution, WebSprix can continue to help build a stronger information infrastructure in Ethiopia and boost economic growth.” The pandemic has forever changed the way employees view and approach work, and if businesses want to attract and retain the talent they need to move forward tomorrow, they must understand their mindset and desires and develop plans to accommodate them today.”
