nuanced information.
“The expectations of employees
and customers and how they want
to engage is driving the shift to-
wards a blended communications
model of interactions across a
variety of channels, devices and
touchpoints, requiring solutions
that provide an effortless way to
enjoy a uniform experience,” said
Savio Tovar Dias, Senior Director
– Sales Engineering, Avaya Inter-
national. “With the new capabili-
ties of Avaya Spaces, we are facil-
itating this through an easy-to-use
app that helps foster enhanced

Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud computing,
announced the retail industry findings of its sec-
ond Enterprise Cloud Index Report, measuring
retailers’ plans for adopting private, hybrid and
public clouds. The report found the vast major-
ity of retailers (87.5%) identified hybrid cloud
as the ideal IT operating model. It also showed
many retailers (72%) are planning to move some
public cloud applications back on-premises.
Data showed that security heavily shapes retail
cloud deployment plans. Nearly two-thirds of re-
spondents (63.6%) said security has significant
influence on their future cloud deployments,
with hybrid cloud specifically identified as the
most secure (32%). As data privacy regulations
continue to tighten and expand, retailers are at
the forefront of looking for ways to efficiently
manage customer data securely. Hybrid cloud
operating models offer the security and flexibili-
ty retailers need to stay ahead of policy changes.
“Staying relevant to today’s customers means
having the necessary cloud infrastructure in
place to embrace omnichannel retail experienc-
es,” said Greg Smith, VP of Product Market-
ing, Nutanix. “Retailers use data to connect the
e-commerce and in-store shopping experiences,
and the only way they can do this accurately and
efficiently is through flexible, scalable technolo-
gy. The rise of selling on social media platforms
also means integrating payment into the user
experience, bringing security and protection
of customers’ data to the forefront of retailers’
minds. Hybrid cloud provides the portability and
control needed to bring retailers into the new era
of customer experience.”
increased security via immutable backups with S3 Ob-
ject Lock, and empowers deeper ecosystem API integra-
tion options, enabling organizations to save time, reduce
costs and exceed recovery objectives.
“Cloud-based data protection is a growing need for many
of the organizations I speak with, both large and small,
which are all in various stages of cloud adoption,” said
Henry Baltazar, research vice president at 451 Research.
“Solutions like Veeam’s latest v10 release provide orga-
nizations with the scalability needed for today and to-
morrow’s workloads, with new Cloud Data Management
capabilities which include faster, automated copies to
object storage and the use of S3 Object Lock to ensure
that data is protected against threats such as ransomware,
insider threats and malicious admins.”
Veeam Availability Suite v10 extends Veeam’s
leadership in comprehensive Cloud Data Man-
agement, providing advanced protection for any
application, any data, across any cloud.
“HPE is redefining storage for our customers and
we need partners who understand the journey to-
ward digital transformation depends on data and
intelligence,” said Jim Jackson, Chief Market-
ing Officer, Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “With

superb performance, ultra-large capacity, ultra-high
speed, and ultra-long service life to meet the needs
of customers with unique innovations.
Huawei OptiXtrans DC908 features an ultra large
capacity of 800 Gbit/s per wavelength supporting
flexible configuration between 100G and 800G,
and future-proof Super C+L technology to achieve
220 wavelengths. This cutting-edge product helps
enterprise customers easily cope with the challeng-
es of massive data flows in the cloud era, continu-
ously reduce the cost per bit, maximize the value
With the company on a robust growth trajectory,
Kris Vedat, Head of IT at P&O Maritime Logistics
was aware that its network needed an overhaul. “As
our operations expanded, we found it difficult to
manage the disparate set of solutions from multiple
vendors that comprised our network. Upgrade cy-
cles, troubleshooting and support were complex. It
also meant that we were unable to apply any stan-
dard sets of policies and procedures,” he said.
After standardizing the network on Aruba, the ben-
efits seen by the company were numerous. What
particularly impressed Vedat was Aruba Central.
“A unified cloud-based management platform that
could enable us to efficiently and effectively manage
our wired and wireless environments was exactly
what my team needed,” he said.
With Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP), Aruba Cen-
tral allowed configurations and policies to be cen-
trally applied, which helped overcome challenges of
IT resource limitations and short deployment win-
dows.
P&O Maritime Logistics’ vessels are typically out
at sea for three to six months at a time, and in some
cases, even up to a year, making Wi-Fi essential
to crew welfare. Elaborating on this, Vedat said,
“Email and other communication services play a vi-
tal role in keeping up crew morale. The reliability of
Aruba’s high speed and secure wireless solution is
thus highly valued.”
Vedat and his team are using mobility as a driver of
multiple digital initiatives, increasingly making Wi-
Fi a business-critical medium. The wireless platform
supports the introduction of several purpose-built
apps, designed to reduce manual tasks and enhance
crew productivity.
Aruba User Experience Insight (UXI) is another
solution that the company is evaluating. This pro-
vides mobile user application service assurance and
rapid troubleshooting through easy to deploy sen-
sors that continuously perform user-centric applica-
tion testing.

PaloAltoNetworksintroduces
CortexXSOARplatform
Cortex XSOAR simplifies security operations by unifying threat intelligence
management with playbook-driven automation
Mimecast for resilient part of collaborative development to stay ahead of
evolving threats
Email continues to be one of the top attack vectors,
as it’s the main communication channel used for
business. Understanding this, cybercriminals are
constantly adapting their tactics and techniques to
bypass traditional security methods and evade de-
tection. Mimecast for Resilient is engineered to give
joint customers the ability to enhance their efficacy,
enabling them to respond to security incidents much
more efficiently and provide a look into the threats
they are facing via email. Resilient takes threat feeds
and information from the Mimecast Security Email
Gateway to produce a dashboard of malicious activ-
ity approaching the organization’s security environ-
ment. Providing actionable intelligence allows orga-
nizations to help create a remediation plan before an
incident occurs.
“Organizations rely on their SIEM or other logging
service to provide actionable threat intelligence to
help better identify and prioritize which incidents
need to be addressed,” said Christina Van Houten,
chief strategy officer, Mimecast. “SOAR platforms
take an organization’s cyber resilience strategy to
the next level by triggering a remediation process
to address incoming threats or other incidents hap-
pening in their environment. Information and au-
tomation are the keys to combating sophisticated
email attacks, especially as cyber attackers continue
to evolve their tactics and techniques. Mimecast’s
integration with IBM Security Resilient technology
allows our joint customers to capitalize further on
their current investments, so they can have a clear
and automated plan for remediation, all in one easy-
to-read dashboard.”
Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity leader,
introduced Cortex XSOAR, an extended security
orchestration, automation and response platform
that empowers security leaders with instant capa-
bilities against threats across their entire enterprise.
Cortex XSOAR is an evolution of the Demisto plat-
form, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks in
March 2019.
Palo Alto Networks is redefining the security or-
chestration, automation and response category by
making threat intelligence management a core com-
ponent. By tightly integrating threat intelligence
management with SOAR capabilities — such as
unified case management, automation and real-time
collaboration — customers are now able to fully op-
erationalize threat feeds.
“Customers are facing an overwhelming volume of
alerts, threat intel sources, and security tasks,” says
Lee Klarich, chief product officer for Palo Alto Net-
works. “Both SOAR and threat intelligence man-
agement have developed over recent years as tools
to help them, but existing product silos have led to
even more manual work. Bringing threat intel data
into Cortex XSOAR means security orchestration
just got simpler for the customer. It makes no sense
to have SOAR without native threat intel.”
“The integration of threat management into secu-
rity orchestration and automation is an inevitable
evolution for improving security operations,” notes
Jon Oltsik, senior principal analyst and fellow at the
Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG). “Cortex XSOAR
brings the right pieces together. Until now, opera-
tionalizing vital threat intelligence data has been
difficult or even impossible as it requires time, ex-
perience, and resources that are beyond the capabil-
ities of many organizations. A platform like Cortex
XSOAR acts as a security operations and analytics
platform architecture, or SOAPA, for analyzing and
operationalizing cyber threat intelligence. The bene-
fit? Bringing the value of threat intel to the masses.”
“Threat intelligence without context is just threat
data. In order for threat intelligence to be of use, the
original context of the threat intel has to be applied
appropriately and mapped to internal incidents and
policies,” says Michael Poddo, director, Cyber Threat
Analysis & Response, Emerson. “However, doing
this at scale and speed to keep pace with real-time
threat feeds is tough without automation. SOAR ap-
plied to threat intelligence can help fully integrate it
into all aspects of your incident response program.”

Chief Product Officer, Palo Alto Networks
Christina Van Houten
Chief Strategy Officer, Mimecast
Mimecast Limited, an email and data security com-
pany, announced a new integration with IBM Secu-
rity Resilient solution, which Mimecast, through a
pre-built API addon, integrates email security data
into the IBM Resilient Security Orchestration Au-
tomation and Response (SOAR) capabilities. IBM
Resilient technology is a leading SOAR platform for
orchestrating and automating incident response pro-
cesses. In conjunction with Mimecast’s already pop-
ular integration with IBM Security QRadar SIEM,
this integration is designed to offer joint customers
the ability to enhance their security posture by mak-
ing their security alerts instantly actionable, through
intelligence and incident context, and enabling
adaptive response to advanced threats.
The new application is freely available to the securi-
ty community through IBM Security App Exchange,
a platform where developers across the industry can
share applications based on IBM Security technolo-
gies. As threats are evolving faster than ever, collab-
orative development amongst the security commu-
nity will help organizations adapt quickly and speed
innovation in the fights against cybercrime.

Fortinet, integrated and automated
cybersecurity solutions, announced
FortiAI, a first-of-its-kind on-premises
appliance that leverages self-learning
Deep Neural Networks (DNN) to speed
threat remediation and handle time
consuming, manual security analyst
tasks. FortiAI’s Virtual Security Ana-
lyst embeds one of the industry’s most
mature cybersecurity artificial intelli-
gence – developed by Fortinet’s For-
tiGuard Labs – directly into an organi-
zation’s network to deliver sub-second
detection of advanced threats.
Security architects confront many
challenges when it comes to discover-
ing and remediating threats, including
cybercriminals are becoming more
sophisticated. While traditional cyber
threats continue, sophistication of ad-
vanced attacks – often enabled by ar-
tificial intelligence, machine learning
and open source communities – are
increasing. As a result, organizations
and their defenses are challenged to
keep pace with threat evolution.
To address these challenges faced by
security professionals, Fortinet is un-
veiling FortiAI Virtual Security Ana-
lyst to accelerate threat remediation.
FortiAI handles many of the time
consuming, manual tasks current-
ly expected of security profession-
als, preserving their time for higher
value security functions. FortiAI’s
self-learning capabilities continue to
get smarter once deployed in an orga-
nization’s network.
FortiAI leverages Deep Learning
known as Deep Neural Networks,
which mimic neurons in the human
brain, to make complex decisions based
on its scientific analysis of threats spe-
cific to the organization where it is
deployed. As FortiAI’s artificial intel-
ligence continues to mature, organi-
zations benefit from having FortiAI’s
Virtual Security Analyst effectively
transform and adapt threat protection.
Another key distinction of FortiAI is
that it offers on-premises AI suitable
for organizations that have air gapped
networks. Operational technology en-
vironments, government agencies and
some large enterprises must adhere to
strict compliance regulations and/or
security policies that limit their net-
work’s connection to the internet. For-

nizations with closed environments
or stringent security policies to stay
ahead of threats.
The breadth and depth of the Fortinet
Security Fabric’s AI-driven technology
provides customers with unparalleled
threat prevention, detection and response
that can be instant and automated.
5G mobile operators and cloud ser-
vice providers are increasingly moving
from purpose-built hardware-centric
infrastructures to be more agile and vir-
tualized. These operators need DDoS
defenses that can keep pace with this
movement toward elastic, virtualized
private clouds. The transition to 5G
makes this even more critical as opera-
tors need to be able to ensure the avail-
ability of business services against the
potential for large DDoS attacks, par-
ticularly during high-visibility times
like global sporting events and season-
al shopping spikes. DDoS attacks will
only increase in severity as operators
expand services to support IoT-driv-
en energy, agriculture, transportation,
healthcare and manufacturing.
vThunder TPS provides operators a
cost-efficient way to protect their net-
works and infrastructures without
over-provisioning DDoS defense capac-
ity. With vThunder TPS customers are
able to gain deployment and operation-
al flexibility with DDoS defenses that
support major private cloud platforms
including KVM, VMware ESXi and
Microsoft Hyper-V. A high-performance
100 Gbps virtual appliance can scale to
800 Gbps with eight-way clustering to
meet the performance needs of 5G mo-
bile operators and cloud providers.
With A10’s FlexPool licensing, capacity
can be scaled up in hours via license allo-
cation rather than in weeks or months re-
quired for hardware purchasing, delivery
and installation. Capacity can be scaled
back down by reallocating licenses to
other points of presence when intermit-

price model also provides lower start-up
and upgrade costs. When combined with
the Orion 5G Security Suite, vThunder
TPS provides high-performance DDoS
detection and mitigation and protection
against other threats across mobile and
cloud network infrastructures.

Avaya Spaces is a cost-effective cloud meeting and team collaboration app that ef- fortlessly integrates voice, video, tasks, sharing and more into one app that can be accessed from any endpoint device. Avaya Spaces is easy-to-use, in- VeeamAvailabilitySuitev10 unveiled Avaya Spaces is an easy-to-use cloud meeting and team collaboration app, accessible anywhere for teams on-the-go Nutanix ECI report shows retailers prefer hybrid cloud architectures to deliver flexibility and security tegrating web meetings and team collaboration and allowing us- ers to create cloud work spaces where they can message, meet, share content and manage tasks from a browser or mobile device, and provides a simple, secure and effective way to get work done in the cloud. Over the next decade, analysts predict that the user experience for digital workers will undergo a significant shift, adapting new ways to interact, perceive and communicate, moving to a model that connects people with more nuanced information. “The expectations of employees and customers and how they want to engage is driving the shift to- wards a blended communications model of interactions across a variety of channels, devices and touchpoints, requiring solutions that provide an effortless way to enjoy a uniform experience,” said Savio Tovar Dias, Senior Director – Sales Engineering, Avaya Inter- national. “With the new capabili- ties of Avaya Spaces, we are facil- itating this through an easy-to-use app that helps foster enhanced collaboration and communica- tion. Avaya Spaces underscores the company’s commitment to delivering a multiexperience en- vironment that is blending unified communications, contact center and collaborations capabilities to empower teams and improve cus- tomer engagement.” Avaya Spaces enables users to create a work space or digital work hub where they can collab- orate via messaging, meetings and share content. It offers a con- verged environment of meetings and team collaboration for a sim- ple, economical, and secure way to communicate and work through a multitude of channels. Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud computing, announced the retail industry findings of its sec- ond Enterprise Cloud Index Report, measuring retailers’ plans for adopting private, hybrid and public clouds. The report found the vast major- ity of retailers (87.5%) identified hybrid cloud as the ideal IT operating model. It also showed many retailers (72%) are planning to move some public cloud applications back on-premises. Data showed that security heavily shapes retail cloud deployment plans. Nearly two-thirds of re- spondents (63.6%) said security has significant influence on their future cloud deployments, with hybrid cloud specifically identified as the most secure (32%). As data privacy regulations continue to tighten and expand, retailers are at the forefront of looking for ways to efficiently manage customer data securely. Hybrid cloud operating models offer the security and flexibili- ty retailers need to stay ahead of policy changes. “Staying relevant to today’s customers means having the necessary cloud infrastructure in place to embrace omnichannel retail experienc- es,” said Greg Smith, VP of Product Market- ing, Nutanix. “Retailers use data to connect the e-commerce and in-store shopping experiences, and the only way they can do this accurately and efficiently is through flexible, scalable technolo- gy. The rise of selling on social media platforms also means integrating payment into the user experience, bringing security and protection of customers’ data to the forefront of retailers’ minds. Hybrid cloud provides the portability and control needed to bring retailers into the new era of customer experience.” increased security via immutable backups with S3 Ob- ject Lock, and empowers deeper ecosystem API integra- tion options, enabling organizations to save time, reduce costs and exceed recovery objectives. “Cloud-based data protection is a growing need for many of the organizations I speak with, both large and small, which are all in various stages of cloud adoption,” said Henry Baltazar, research vice president at 451 Research. “Solutions like Veeam’s latest v10 release provide orga- nizations with the scalability needed for today and to- morrow’s workloads, with new Cloud Data Management capabilities which include faster, automated copies to object storage and the use of S3 Object Lock to ensure that data is protected against threats such as ransomware, insider threats and malicious admins.” Veeam Availability Suite v10 extends Veeam’s leadership in comprehensive Cloud Data Man- agement, providing advanced protection for any application, any data, across any cloud. “HPE is redefining storage for our customers and we need partners who understand the journey to- ward digital transformation depends on data and intelligence,” said Jim Jackson, Chief Market- ing Officer, Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “With Veeam, we ensure the critical data needed to ac- celerate business is safe and readily available to customers at all times. We are thrilled that Veeam now supports HPE Primera and offers enhance- ments for HPE StoreOnce so customers’ data is always available, recoverable and protected.” >> From page 1 Greg Smith VP, Product Marketing, Nutanix

Upgrade cy- cles, troubleshooting and support were complex. It also meant that we were unable to apply any stan- dard sets of policies and procedures,” he said. After standardizing the network on Aruba, the ben- efits seen by the company were numerous. What particularly impressed Vedat was Aruba Central. “A unified cloud-based management platform that could enable us to efficiently and effectively manage our wired and wireless environments was exactly what my team needed,” he said. With Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP), Aruba Cen- tral allowed configurations and policies to be cen- trally applied, which helped overcome challenges of IT resource limitations and short deployment win- dows. P&O Maritime Logistics’ vessels are typically out at sea for three to six months at a time, and in some cases, even up to a year, making Wi-Fi essential to crew welfare. Elaborating on this, Vedat said, “Email and other communication services play a vi- tal role in keeping up crew morale. The reliability of Aruba’s high speed and secure wireless solution is thus highly valued.” Vedat and his team are using mobility as a driver of multiple digital initiatives, increasingly making Wi- Fi a business-critical medium. The wireless platform supports the introduction of several purpose-built apps, designed to reduce manual tasks and enhance crew productivity. Aruba User Experience Insight (UXI) is another solution that the company is evaluating. This pro- vides mobile user application service assurance and rapid troubleshooting through easy to deploy sen- sors that continuously perform user-centric applica- tion testing. Understanding this, cybercriminals are constantly adapting their tactics and techniques to bypass traditional security methods and evade de- tection. Mimecast for Resilient is engineered to give joint customers the ability to enhance their efficacy, enabling them to respond to security incidents much more efficiently and provide a look into the threats they are facing via email. Resilient takes threat feeds and information from the Mimecast Security Email Gateway to produce a dashboard of malicious activ- ity approaching the organization’s security environ- ment. Providing actionable intelligence allows orga- nizations to help create a remediation plan before an incident occurs. “Organizations rely on their SIEM or other logging service to provide actionable threat intelligence to help better identify and prioritize which incidents need to be addressed,” said Christina Van Houten, chief strategy officer, Mimecast. “SOAR platforms take an organization’s cyber resilience strategy to the next level by triggering a remediation process to address incoming threats or other incidents hap- pening in their environment. Information and au- tomation are the keys to combating sophisticated email attacks, especially as cyber attackers continue to evolve their tactics and techniques. Mimecast’s integration with IBM Security Resilient technology allows our joint customers to capitalize further on their current investments, so they can have a clear and automated plan for remediation, all in one easy- to-read dashboard.” Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity leader, introduced Cortex XSOAR, an extended security orchestration, automation and response platform that empowers security leaders with instant capa- bilities against threats across their entire enterprise. Cortex XSOAR is an evolution of the Demisto plat- form, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks in March 2019. Palo Alto Networks is redefining the security or- chestration, automation and response category by making threat intelligence management a core com- ponent. By tightly integrating threat intelligence management with SOAR capabilities — such as unified case management, automation and real-time collaboration — customers are now able to fully op- erationalize threat feeds. “Customers are facing an overwhelming volume of alerts, threat intel sources, and security tasks,” says Lee Klarich, chief product officer for Palo Alto Net- works. “Both SOAR and threat intelligence man- agement have developed over recent years as tools to help them, but existing product silos have led to even more manual work. Bringing threat intel data into Cortex XSOAR means security orchestration just got simpler for the customer. It makes no sense to have SOAR without native threat intel.” “The integration of threat management into secu- rity orchestration and automation is an inevitable evolution for improving security operations,” notes Jon Oltsik, senior principal analyst and fellow at the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG). “Cortex XSOAR brings the right pieces together. Until now, opera- tionalizing vital threat intelligence data has been difficult or even impossible as it requires time, ex- perience, and resources that are beyond the capabil- ities of many organizations. A platform like Cortex XSOAR acts as a security operations and analytics platform architecture, or SOAPA, for analyzing and operationalizing cyber threat intelligence. The bene- fit? Bringing the value of threat intel to the masses.” “Threat intelligence without context is just threat data. In order for threat intelligence to be of use, the original context of the threat intel has to be applied appropriately and mapped to internal incidents and policies,” says Michael Poddo, director, Cyber Threat Analysis & Response, Emerson. “However, doing this at scale and speed to keep pace with real-time threat feeds is tough without automation. SOAR ap- plied to threat intelligence can help fully integrate it into all aspects of your incident response program.” Lee Klarich Chief Product Officer, Palo Alto Networks Christina Van Houten Chief Strategy Officer, Mimecast Mimecast Limited, an email and data security com- pany, announced a new integration with IBM Secu- rity Resilient solution, which Mimecast, through a pre-built API addon, integrates email security data into the IBM Resilient Security Orchestration Au- tomation and Response (SOAR) capabilities. IBM Resilient technology is a leading SOAR platform for orchestrating and automating incident response pro- cesses. In conjunction with Mimecast’s already pop- ular integration with IBM Security QRadar SIEM, this integration is designed to offer joint customers the ability to enhance their security posture by mak- ing their security alerts instantly actionable, through intelligence and incident context, and enabling adaptive response to advanced threats. The new application is freely available to the securi- ty community through IBM Security App Exchange, a platform where developers across the industry can share applications based on IBM Security technolo- gies. As threats are evolving faster than ever, collab- orative development amongst the security commu- nity will help organizations adapt quickly and speed innovation in the fights against cybercrime.

For more information, please write to sales.value@redingtonmea.com March 2020 / 06 Fortinet, integrated and automated cybersecurity solutions, announced FortiAI, a first-of-its-kind on-premises appliance that leverages self-learning Deep Neural Networks (DNN) to speed threat remediation and handle time consuming, manual security analyst tasks. FortiAI’s Virtual Security Ana- lyst embeds one of the industry’s most mature cybersecurity artificial intelli- gence – developed by Fortinet’s For- tiGuard Labs – directly into an organi- zation’s network to deliver sub-second detection of advanced threats. Security architects confront many challenges when it comes to discover- ing and remediating threats, including cybercriminals are becoming more sophisticated. While traditional cyber threats continue, sophistication of ad- vanced attacks – often enabled by ar- tificial intelligence, machine learning and open source communities – are increasing. As a result, organizations and their defenses are challenged to keep pace with threat evolution. To address these challenges faced by security professionals, Fortinet is un- veiling FortiAI Virtual Security Ana- lyst to accelerate threat remediation. FortiAI handles many of the time consuming, manual tasks current- ly expected of security profession- als, preserving their time for higher value security functions. FortiAI’s self-learning capabilities continue to get smarter once deployed in an orga- nization’s network. FortiAI leverages Deep Learning known as Deep Neural Networks, which mimic neurons in the human brain, to make complex decisions based on its scientific analysis of threats spe- cific to the organization where it is deployed. As FortiAI’s artificial intel- ligence continues to mature, organi- zations benefit from having FortiAI’s Virtual Security Analyst effectively transform and adapt threat protection. Another key distinction of FortiAI is that it offers on-premises AI suitable for organizations that have air gapped networks. Operational technology en- vironments, government agencies and some large enterprises must adhere to strict compliance regulations and/or security policies that limit their net- work’s connection to the internet. The enhanced vThun- der TPS provides 100 Gbps through- put in a single virtual appliance and can be expanded to 800 Gbps with eight-way clustering. As a result, service providers can build elastic DDoS defenses that can be incre- mentally scaled during wartime when peak capacity is required. vThunder TPS is compact and efficient, allow- ing it to be deployed in next-gener- ation mobile edge compute (MEC) environments, conserving space and power while providing powerful DDoS protection. tiAI with its self-learning AI model does not require internet connectivity to learn and mature, enabling orga- nizations with closed environments or stringent security policies to stay ahead of threats. The breadth and depth of the Fortinet Security Fabric’s AI-driven technology provides customers with unparalleled threat prevention, detection and response that can be instant and automated. 5G mobile operators and cloud ser- vice providers are increasingly moving from purpose-built hardware-centric infrastructures to be more agile and vir- tualized. These operators need DDoS defenses that can keep pace with this movement toward elastic, virtualized private clouds. The transition to 5G makes this even more critical as opera- tors need to be able to ensure the avail- ability of business services against the potential for large DDoS attacks, par- ticularly during high-visibility times like global sporting events and season- al shopping spikes. DDoS attacks will only increase in severity as operators expand services to support IoT-driv- en energy, agriculture, transportation, healthcare and manufacturing. vThunder TPS provides operators a cost-efficient way to protect their net- works and infrastructures without over-provisioning DDoS defense capac- ity. With vThunder TPS customers are able to gain deployment and operation- al flexibility with DDoS defenses that support major private cloud platforms including KVM, VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V. A high-performance 100 Gbps virtual appliance can scale to 800 Gbps with eight-way clustering to meet the performance needs of 5G mo- bile operators and cloud providers. With A10’s FlexPool licensing, capacity can be scaled up in hours via license allo- cation rather than in weeks or months re- quired for hardware purchasing, delivery and installation. Capacity can be scaled back down by reallocating licenses to other points of presence when intermit- tentdemandsubsides.A10’ssubscription price model also provides lower start-up and upgrade costs. When combined with the Orion 5G Security Suite, vThunder TPS provides high-performance DDoS detection and mitigation and protection against other threats across mobile and cloud network infrastructures.
