I've worked as a developer, systems administrator, and network engineer for everything from startups to Fortune 500 companies for nearly two decades. After working for startups overseas for a few years in Germany and the UK, and a few years back home in Portland, Oregon, I'm working as a Principal Systems Engineer at Nitro Software in Dublin, Ireland. I'm an enthusiast of scalable datastores, Go, Ruby, automated infrastructure, and repeatable systems. I'm also co-author of "Docker: Up and Running"​ from O'Reilly Media. When not devoting time to things digital, I can be found shooting film with vintage cameras, or riding one of my steel bicycles.
