2. Abstract
In today’s era, IoT is playing an important role in health care
systems. The prime aim of the project is to design and implement
effective health care monitoring dashboard. The proposed system
monitors the vital Temperature, BP, Heart rate etc and transmits
through IoT. The transmitted data is displayed in the PC based
application called the central nurse station. This data gets updated
into database continuously. This enables the doctor to receive the
current status of the patient in real time. If any parameter of a
particular patient goes beyond a pre-assigned threshold value, an
automated notification will enable a buzzer and display.
3. OBJECTIVE
• To help fast communication and identifying
emergency and initiate communication with
healthcare staff.
• It also helps to initiate proactive and quick
treatment.
4. Internet of things
The internet of things (IOT) is the network of physical objects or
things embedded with electronics, software, sensors and network
connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange
data.
Features of IOT :-
Communication
Addressability
Identification
Sensing
Embedded information processing
5. REQUIREMENTS
HARDWARE
• ARDUINO MICRICONTROLLER
• HEART BEAT,BLOOD
PRESSURE AND
TEMPARATURE SENSOR
• IOT INTERFACE
• BUZZER
• LCD DISPLAY
Software
• MPLAB X IDE
• ADRUINO IDE
• XC8 COMPILER
• PROTEUS 8.0 PROFESSIONAL
6. Arduino
Arduino is an open source physical processing hardware, which is
based on a microcontroller board. Arduino can run on any platform that
includes Windows, Linux Operating System.
The Arduino can be used to develop an interactive interface, get inputs
from a diverse collection of switches as well as sensors, and
simultaneously control the output from various physical devices
including lights and other appliances.
Reasons for Choosing Arduino
Less expensive
Compatible
Easy to program
9. Existing method
There are some system present in market but
all are having some difficulties.
Manual reading
Lack of integration sensors
Communication problems
10. drawbacks
Takes time to analyze the manual
reading.
Complex system and difficult to
operate.
Single parameter monitoring system.
11. Advantages OF PROPOSED METHOD
Bridging the gap between the doctor
and the patients.
It is a multipurpose device, so that
overall conditions are easily
measured.
IOT, the cloud storage is more
reliable and does have minimal
chances of data loss.
12. CONCLUSION
The availability of low-cost single-chip
microcontrollers, and advances in wireless
communication technology has encouraged engineers
to design low-cost embedded systems for healthcare
monitoring applications.
