11. Q: What is a knowledge notebook? Notebooks are stored in Microsoft SharePoint™ meaning all users always have access to the most current and up-to-date copy. Notebooks are based on specific topics or areas of interest, and are shared across an entire community, not just within a specific team. Permissions can be managed through standard SharePoint functions but users do not need to visit the SharePoint site itself to work with the notebook. All users have concurrent access to the same electronic notebook. Microsoft OneNote™ enables them to quickly capture notes, attach or embed files, import emails, take screen captures, or even capture audio or other media. If a user goes offline they can continue to work - OneNote will automatically synchronise when it detects a network connection is available again. A shared electronicnotebookthat facilitates free-form information gathering and multi-usercollaboration around a specific topic or special interest.
