Now we see Customers asking Testing vendors to create their overall Testing strategy ,Consult on Process et.c. The Role of the Test engineer has increased manifold over years
- Globalised and distributed development teams have meant that tesrers now have to play the role of cordinators as well. Distributed Development has reduced the insights to the micro activities across the dev cycle and testers have to work harder to get info. We will see the growth of a Non linear Specifications language which will aid better communication in distributed dev.
- TDD as a was to code design . Focus on automation at all levels. Levels are getting fuzzy and gui less inerfaces are in. There would be more demand for testers who understand code.
- Cloud computing posses challenges of testing services which are not fully exposed. Its becoming harder to to isolate bugs and monitor infrastructure. Multi site testing is a key challenge for content delivery. New tools for cloud
- Legal compliance is a key focus area. Sox , HIPPAA , Tax changes are becoming focus points of testing vendors. More demand for standardsand standardisation
- End of the day beyond all trends it’s the need for good thinking testers is on the rise
