After earning his master’s degree in experimental psychology from Loyola University Chicago, Dr. Richard Pines continued his education at Des Moines University, where he received his doctor of osteopathy in 1989. Upon the completion of his academic work, Dr. Richard Pines undertook an additional seven years of postgraduate training, including four years of psychiatry training as a resident at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in Topeka, Kansas. Following his fellowship, Dr. Pines moved to Boise, Idaho, and joined the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, serving as a staff psychiatrist for 14 years.
