2. YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER
GODS BEFORE ME. EX 20:3
• You shall not bow down and serve
them.
• For the Lord your God is a jealous God.
• Does God become jealous of the large
amount of time that we do not spend on
Him?

3. YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT
ADULTERY EX.20:14
• “Twenty percent of divorces involve Facebook
and 80 percent of divorce lawyers have
reported a spike in the number of cases that
use social media for evidence, according to a
survey by the American Academy of
Matrimonial Lawyers.”

4. YOU SHALL NOT COVET YOUR
NEIGHBOR’S… EX.20:17
• Social media allows us to put our possessions
out on display for our neighbor to see
• “Look at my ox, look how great my ox is, don’t
you wish you had my ox”

5. HONOR YOUR FATHER AND
MOTHER EX. 20:12
• Does your profile honor your father and
mother?
• Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he
should go, And when he is old he will not
depart from it.

6. DO ALL THINGS WITHOUT
COMPLAINING AND DISPUTING
• Philippians 2:14-15 – “14 Do all things without
complaining and disputing, 15 that you may
become blameless and harmless, children of
God without fault in the midst of a crooked
and perverse generation, among whom you
shine as lights in the world,”

7. EDIFY AND IMPART GRACE
• Ephesians 4:29-31 – “29 Let no corrupt word
proceed out of your mouth, but what is good
for necessary edification, that it may impart
grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the
Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed
for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness,
wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put
away from you, with all malice.”

10. TEACH WISELY
• Are you able to teach?
• 2 Tim. 2:23 – “23 But avoid foolish and ignorant
disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a
servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to
all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting
those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will
grant them repentance, so that they may know the
truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and
escape the snare of the devil, having been taken
captive by him to do his will.”

11. WHO IS YOUR TOP FRIEND?
• The World - James 4:4
• “4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that
friendship with the world is enmity with God?
Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world
makes himself an enemy of God. “
• Jesus - John 15:14-15
• 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command
you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant
does not know what his master is doing; but I have
called you friends, for all things that I heard from My
Father I have made known to you.
