- Middle grades students get really engaged in the drawing that they forget about the writing part, or they can’t translate to organizational structure. Need numbered notes or changes in visual structures. Match the organizational style to what students are able to do. If I can’t learn the way you teach, can you teach the way I learn?
- Teachers are allowed to handout these organizers during testing. Want to make sure teachers know about these.

- Visual cues help support work of students, intro and conclusion in one color to show how they are similar. Yellow to slow down because you have tell me more and red is to flesh out the details?
- They’ll have a sentence they’ll copy and they will develop their own sentence for them to find that same structure of a sentence in the literature then do a share out with that. They see it modeled, do it yourself, explore to find.
