2. INTRODUCTION
KANHAI FOODS PVT LTD is a Private limited company incorporated on
15th August 1996, is engaged in business of Manufacturing, Processing and
distributing bakery products ranging from Bread to Cakes to Cookies, a range
comprising more than 200 varieties.
The Company had been pioneer in setting up Gujarat’s first fully automatic
Egg less bakery plant at Changodar, near Ahmedabad. The Company is
promoted by two young entrepreneurs 1) MR Ajay Kariwala , 2)MR
Shashank Chokhani having a mission of making the Company, a class of its
own by making available, innovative and customized range of products to suit
the taste buds of every age group customers while delivering high standards of
hygiene and quality.
In Their journey towards achieving excellence in quality & Hygiene, they have
already added a formidable milestone of being accredited with ISO 9001:2008
& ISO-22000:2005 certification awarded specifically for food safety
management system implemented in the Company. The Company is also a
CRISIL rated Company. The Company is also a CRISIL rated Company.
Recently the Company has been awarded with a National Award by The
Economic Times for Excellence Operating Efficiency. In Feb 2014 the
Company received The Times Foods Award for BEST BAKERY in
Ahmedabad
The Company from the year 2003 has embarked upon very ambitious &
strategic diversification plan of reaching the larger network of customers by
opening retail outlets under the brand name Kabhi B (means anytime) a brand
mainly associated with Cakes & Patisserie, some Company owned, some
franchised in various cities in the state of Gujarat. The Company presently has
52 retail outlets in the cities of Ahmedabad, Anand, Bhavnagar, Gandhidham,
3. Nadiad, Vidyanagar Baroda, Adipur, Rajkot Gandhinagar,Bhuj, Jamnagar,
Morbi, Mehsana, Mandvi Vishnagar and junagadh with plans of adding 10
more by this financial year end. The Company now has outlets at the Domestic
and International Airports of Ahmedabad / Baroda and they feel Kabhi B (Any
time) should be available Kahin B (Any where).
They already are a clear market leader in Manufacturing and distributing Bread
& other generic products under the brand name Kalory. Their dedicated Direct
and Indirect sales team has achieved an unparalleled distinction of garnering
prestigious business of corporate, Retail Chains and Multinational Companies.
Just to name a few of them, Reliance Fresh retail, Café coffee day, Java green
café, Pizza Hut, Chatkazz Chain of stores, IRCTC, DB Hospitalities Gateway
Taj, St. Laurn, Pride Hotel & many more . They supply to Chatkazz outlets in
Gujarat and Rajasthan on a daily basis. Besides this their Company has been
growing consistently in terms of exports, and has been regularly exporting our
products to Canada, Mauritius, New Zealand, Dubai, U.S.A, South Africa &
Hong Kong while adding a wider spectrum of countries for exports in future,
which will make them Indian Multinational over a period of time.

FOOD SAFETY POLICY
They, at Kanhai Foods are dedicated to manufacture and develop food
ingredients and additives of highest quality, processed hygienically by using
state-of-the-art technology to achieve the following objectives:-

synonymous with quality and food safety.
Through continual improvement and effectiveness of quality and food
safety management system by totally committed participation of all.
They will continuously endeavor to satisfy the changing needs of our
customers and meet the regulatory and compliance requirement of statutory
law.
7. FACILITY
The plant is equipped with proper hygienic & sanitation control departments,
a walk-in cooler to preserve perishables and separate storage godown
maintenance, production, dispatch areas.
The organization has a customer care department to receive feedbacks &
suggestions to continuously improve the product and services. The
organization employs about 130 skilled & unskilled personnel besides trained
and experienced departmental heads. The organization has its own depot in
Ahmedabad and has a appointed distributors in different cities.

11. Breads
Processing and distributing bakery products ranging from Bread to Cakes
to Cookies, a range comprising more than 200 varieties
Process Of Making Bread
1) Firstly, when raw material is arrived in the godown the raw material is
being cleaned and the weighting is done and after checking it is
transferred to high speed mixture where the raw material is being mixed
with sugar, salt, yeast and material is being mixed for approximately 3
minutes.
2) After the mixture is done the material is being transferred to the rounder
with the help of conveyer.
3) Dough is transferred to inter proofer and oven. After baking of bread it
is transferred to SS bread trolley
4) SS trolley is then transferred to high speed slicer, where the bread is
sliced up in different sizes. After this final step i.e. packaging is done.
Production Capacity
The Production capacity is 50,000 breads, but according to the demand
and requirement they produce approximately 25,000 breads per day.

12. Bread’s are being packed in different sizes of plastic bag.
Packed Bread’s will later pass through the barcode and printing section.
After this section the product is not stored but supplied on the same day.
13. Distribution network (supply chain management)
The product is being transferred to madhupura, Ahmedabad by truck, which
is the main depot location from there ,the product is being distributed to all
the franchise in Ahmedabad.
For other cities of Gujarat and Rajasthan the product is dispatched by truck
form the factory directly.
