a kaleidoscope of brilliant colours. Flower petals fill the
air, the scent of spices envelop me. And I want it all to
happen to a Bollywood musical soundtrack. I want
to palaver with the Punjabis, bend the ear of a
Brahman, chant with the Jats and mingle with the
Maharattas. Mmmmm, I want to dine on cumin and
curry and spices that linger on my tongue. I’ll walk
through pink-stone forts and palaces of maharajahs
and catch a glimpse of the days of the Raj. I want to sail
