2. Option Internationale du Baccalauréat (OIB) Is an integral part of the normal French baccalauréat, not a separate part. Replaces LV 1 in the bac. This means that the present LV1 becomes LV2 as from next year. Is taken by students from all bac. series (S; ES; L). Involves 2 years of study (1ère and Tle) with 8 hours of tuition in the section.

Option Internationale du Baccalauréat (OIB) British Option is composed of two separate programmes: Language/literature: Oral (30 mins.): study of a Shakespeare play and 2 other texts Written (4 hours): critical commentary (prose or poetry) + in depth study of 1 text each of drama, prose fiction and poetry History and Geography: History: mid 19th – end of 20 th century world history Geography: European themes; the superpowers; global inequality; development etc. Oral (15 mins.) and written (4 hours) cover all topics

Option Internationale du Baccalauréat (OIB) American Option is composed of two separate programmes: Language/literature: Oral (30 mins.): study of a Shakespeare play and 2 other texts from a list of 12. Written (4 hours): 2 general literary questions based on study of 12 works of different genres over the 2 years or 1 general literary question + critical commentary. History and Geography: History: mid 19th – end of 20 th century world history Geography: European themes; the superpowers (e mphasis on US) ; global inequality; development etc. Oral (15 mins.) and written (4 hours) cover all topics

Option Internationale du Baccalauréat (OIB) Fees for each year include tuition (pro rata to number of hours = + 33% adjustment to standard rate of 6 hours) + a 30 euros supplement to cover exam. administration and university counselling for English-speaking colleges which is provided for all students.

University Counselling 2008/10 This year out of a total cohort of 63 students the following have made application to universities outside France: 29 for Britain 5 for Canada 4 for USA 3 for Ireland 1 for Switzer land All of the above will be making applications here in France and several of the above have made multiple international applications such as Britain/Canada/USA/ France.
