1. Pouch Burst / Inflation Test

Pouch Burst Tester
(Internal Pressurization till Burst)
Summary : This test in principle is similar to the Pouch Compression Test, except that the pouches
here are subjected to internal air pressure in lieu of external force. The internal burst test is used as a
good overall test for a hermetic seal including an indication of correct heat sealing conditions and a
measure of the ability of a package to withstand transportation and handling.
Applicable to : Flexible pouches and Blister Packs.
Limitation : This test is performed on empty packs only and cannot be performed on product filled
packs.
Test Standard : JETRO / CFIA / ASTM F 1140 (A & B1) / ASTM F 2095 (A & B) / ASTM F 2054

- With special puncture-probe that injects air inside the pouch from the front face and
simultaneously senses the internal pressure buildup.

With Electronically Controlled Automatic Pressure Regulator
Gives very precise and gradual pressure rise inside the pouch.
With constant feedback loop for precision.
