2. Neuroleadership: a must for business focused on the 21st Century!
The workers of today do not quit their jobs, they quit their bosses!
Many companies of the 21st century still lead based on outdated assumptions of 100 years ago.
Those are limiting belief systems that represent their cultures, family education system, country of
origin, etc. ..
What happens is that the leadership style that worked in the past no longer works in the present
day. According to researches made by FGV a prestigious university of São Paulo, 81% of young
people prefer to undertake than being an employee and have someone above them abridging their
professional growth .
Leadership is a behavioral competence, so you learn to lead in practice and not

leadership model with the requirements of the position. If we want a different result, we need to do
something different. Everybody is sick of this model of beliefs that the employee is not compromised,
doesn't give a damn and go to work only to slack around. This is a legend and believe those who do
not want to open your eyes to the reality that, today, can be totally based on Brain Science
(neuroscience). According to researches of renowned scientists like Leonard Mlodinow, Dr Paul
Brown, Dr Paco Mora, among others , our decision-making process is 85% subconscious. That
means that most of the time we decided on impulse, not by reason.
Over the past 30 years neuroscience has given huge jumps toward a greater understanding of the
functioning of the human brain. Our perception of the world influences our lives more than any
3. information learned in books or schools. Cutting-edge technologies like functional magnetic
resonance imaging ( fMRI ), computed tomography, eye tracker, created the possibility of observing
the brain in their day to day tasks. Numerous research projects have studied and solved the brain
mechanisms behind crucial mental processes as generating emotions and behaviors, motivation,
decision making, learning, negotiation, troubleshooting, etc.
Which application the expanded knowledge of brain mechanisms on the notion and practice of
leadership?
