mind the need to protect your time and money investment.

fitness studio of your own is to make a plan. Every successful business owner has a plan
and they have spent hours perfecting and editing this plan. When you make your plan you
need to list out every aspect of the company including how many people you plan to hire.
What equipment you need, location, what classes you plan to offer, your operating budget
for everything from cleaning, taxes, utilities and the list goes on.
One of the mistakes many new business owners make is under estimating the cost,
especially the monthly budget. Be sure to include a generous budget for marketing and
advertising, for this is the one place you don’t want to skimp. A well thought out plan
utilizing the assistance of a marketing expert is recommended. You might be thinking that

facility is eligible to be operated as a fitness studio. What does this mean? The building
will need to go through an inspection and pass fire codes. It will also need to pass health
inspections, plumbing inspections, and the like. Not being prepared for this usually leads to
the facility not passing the inspection. There are certain mandatory requirements that must
be met and certain health codes that need to be in place. You should consult with a licensed
builder in the area where you are considering to open, licensed builders are aware of the
local codes and requirements. They can save you a lot of time and headaches.
Liability is also a big issue and is something you want to consider before moving forward
with opening your business. You will need to have a plan in place and carry enough
insurance to properly cover your liability. This coverage will help keep you and your
business protected should someone get hurt in your studio. Consulting a licensed insurance
agent that covers commercial property will be a must.
