my keynote on kakapos

1. kakapo
The only parrot that can’t fly

2. habitat
A Kakapo’s habitat is protected by the government of
New Zealand.This means the island is predator-free.The
kakapo now lives in an island that has all the food they
need and have enough resources to build it’s own
personal shelter.

3. predators
The kakapo’s predators
are:dogs,possums,cats,pigs,ferrets etc.They all harm
the kakapos in different ways. possums steal their trees
to live in.Dogs literally kill the kakpos and eat
them.Pigs eat the kakapos habitat.Ferrets eat the
kakapos eggs.Cats also hunt down kakapos.

4. Diet
The kakapo’s diet are
berries,fruit,leaves,plants,fungi,pollen and all sorts of
berries. The kakapo finds its food with its beak and
its ultimate eyesight.

5. adaptive features
It’s wings for climbing trees to balance it self
although it can’t fly It’s eyes
for good
eyesight
It’s beak
for
grinding
fruit and
eating it

6. save the kakapo!!
The kakapo is HIGHLY ENDANGERED!!! we must
try and save the kakapo by joining in the
environmental protecting group.
